God shows off in Belize!

4AM...Teet-teet-teet...Yaaawn...Wakey wakey we are going to Honduras..Belize!!!!

SO how we got to Belize. After Guatemala the team was suppose to go to Honduras for two weeks . However our Honduras contact didn't reply to our emails and well after allot of prayer we felt led to check out Belize. Guatemala was crazy busy, both physically and spiritually so all we wanted to do is take a while off but wow I could just feel there was an excitement in me about Belize. Unexpected but exciting!

Belize, given our financial status hiehie, was very much the unlikely choice, because it would be very expensive plus we did not plan on going so at this point we had no setup ministry points. Well as we have learned by now the most unlikely choices for us is almost always the obvious choice for God :O)

Geoff, one of my team members whilst in Guatemala felt led by God to give a scripture for a lady by the name Rebecca. Now he searched high and low for this lady, akwardlly but excited, he asked random people if their name was Rebecca, hiehie,no luck, he never found her. THEN when we told the pastor in Guatemala that we feel we should go to Belize he got excited and told us he knows a couple there that we could help out at their church..guess her name? Rebecca!!Yay we found her and our confirmation to go to Belize.

In that we started to pray and asked God to keep us safe and in His will provide the finances to go. IN SHORT...Another pastor from Guatemala city offered to take us to the border of Belize(12hours) for free, arriving in San Ignacio Rebecca and her husband Yalam provided every meal(in abundance), they gave us a place to sleep and gave us toiletries, clothes and perfume(something that IS MUCH needed in 90% humidity and pleasant smells has been scarce this year hiehie)

In San Ignacio the team ministered basically everyday. Some taught the youth a dance, some taught the children memory verses and songs; others preached and performed dramas. The worship team was amazing and even our time fellowshipping with the people was blessed, every second in every area was blessed. It felt surreal to see how God showed up everywhere, every area.

We even got to be part of a daily kids radio show where Zigi and Marguarite could let their creative juices flow. Created "The Geoffy and Zetty show". Geoffy was a good dog and Zetty was a cute girl who loves the Lord and everyday at 5 o´clock they showed up with their friends ready to share a new adventure of the bible.

We had to leave San Ignacio after a week for the pastor in Guatemala city wanted us to also minister to a small church in San Pedro. For those of you who do not know,San Pedro is probably the most beautiful island in the world and we were blessed to go. Our Father showed off when He made this island.

The church again provided everything, every breakfast, lunch and dinner. I checked my pants one day and they where tighter than before, ahhh what a testimony, God came and gave us abundance hiehiehie. This church was special for they don't have the money to build a church so they have sermons on a piece of land, open air. The woman came to cook for us daily, we weren't allowed to even buy water for ourselves. Now do not be miss led these people do not have money. The house that we were staying in were taken back by the bank the previous week and they allowed us to stay there. These people were doing it for God, by the love Jesus put in their hearts. Wow, a lesson to be guarded for life.

They don't have anything but that which they have they gave, if not money they gave their time, their prayers, their smiles. I felt so guilty for yes we may not have the finances on this journey to bless them with money, but when we return to Africa I know my parents will at least have a bed for me, food to nourish my body. Matthew 10:40-42 came to me, and I felt ashamed. God says He will reward anyone who even gives a cup of cold water for His disciples, those that came to them in His name. Our money falls short of what God has in store, Gods reward for them is of more value that our minds can fathom.(O you of little faith, do you really think your money will outweigh my reward for them?)

The Saturday evening we had our last service before we had to leave on the Sunday and our time was blessed, we could minister to them and we could feel Gods presence. Again this church does not even have four walls. They called Elsabe closer and place a donation in Her hand. Now it wasn´t a little donation and that covered our tickets back to Panama for which we were trusting God for. How can one still doubt? Again, God is amazing!

Now the box of oats we bought coming into Belize was still with us,comfy, cosy still exactly where we put him. We left the oats in San Pedro, a testimony of Gods provision.

As Zet always says "WHEN GOD HAS AN APPOINTMENT HE SHOWS UP"
