Journey to the Ends of the World

I can not wait to share this journey with my friends and family . We are being trained to become leaders, warriors for Christ .

JAMAICA

Spiritually it felt like I was trapped in a jail cell with people who gave up on life. Their dreams were forgotten and their futures were left unwritten. Hopeless!

Blinded by their past and poverty, they were just waiting...not for something or someone; they were just waiting.  What amazed me the most was the fact that all of them knew the good news of Jesus.

Hopelessness was drowning them... killing them one by one.  I found myself limited by my knowledge and wisdom and soon afterwards became hopeless myself.

The atmosphere was so heavy it started to choke me. I just wanted to bail out; to leave them and run.

Then a remarkable feeling appeared in my heart, a feeling that was hidden: love. Funny enough I started to enjoy spending time with them.

Yes, all I could do was pray for them and listen to their stories, but that might have been just what they needed.

##Here are a few life stories I came across in Jamaica##

(@) A 28 year old man was caught selling drugs in America and was sent back to Jamaica. For the last 7 years he was living in a homeless shelter while waiting for his American Visa to be approved. In that time he had done nothing for himself in Jamaica.

(@) A 90 year old Indian lady has been " locked up " ( in her own words) for the last 10 years in an Old Age Home. Family and friends never visited her.

(@) An old man went away from his home and family to the city to find a job. He never found a job and had no money to go back home. At the end he gave up everything just to find himself homeless and far away from his loved ones.

These were a few of many stories I heard from people in Jamaica.

##Pray##

If there was one thing I could tell you, it would probably be that we have to start praying for those in need.

##Prayer request.##

Hopelessness and poverty is something that is suffocating our brothers and sisters in Christ. We need to lift them up in prayer.

Many missionaries across the globe is suffering for His name. Let us start lifting them up in our prayers too.

Never underestimate the power of prayer.
Amen
