Malaysia Faith Journey

 

The Luke 10 Faith journeys would begin in a country unique and alien to us, good thing it wasn't up to us to decide what to do. We all came from Singapore to Malaysia with uncertainty and excitement. This whole year we don't know what amazing stuff Gods has to surprise us with, now even more so. The team split into four groups. What occurred that we would for the first time be "split" and be completely dependent on God for everything!

 

We reunited in Kuala Lumpur ten days after starting our Luke 10 faith journeys in Singapore. We where thankful to hear the incredible events God planned out in every detail that occurred and every divine appointment that took place.

 

We where rested and then on our way to our host in Langkap after two days, where we got an oppertunity to meet and minister with the original tribes of Malaysia called the Orang Asli. Our host, Pastor Tan and his daughter Pastor Crystal, introduced us to many christian communities. The Orang Aslie we associated with had a religious view based on witchcraft, and some would convert to Islam if they would marry Muslim in the past. Now the majority are Christian. In the rural area we stay in, healings have taken place in the community when the people wanted proof of Jesus at work. After this approximately 80% of the community committed their lives to the Lord. 

 

Pastor Tan took us to many different regions where he has planted churches. We prayed and shared Gods word as we where richly blessed with basic needs. Many encouraged us with testimonies as we just had fun doing plays and worshipping with them.

 

It is clear when you really surrender to God then you cant do anything out of yourself. We where unsure what was coming, but confident in the Lord who provides better for us then what we can for ourselves. This is where you get the encouragement or the word to do Gods work! This is how Gods works in life.
