Who told you you are naked?
The enemy has been spreading lies about God's Children since time began. The sad story is...believe what he says! God got so angry when he heard that the Enemy said to Adam and Eve that they are not good enough...that they are naked in the Garden!
Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the LORD God had made.
He said to the woman, “Did God actually say, ‘You shall not eat of any tree in the garden’?” (Genesis 3:1 ESV)
And he said, “I heard the sound of you in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked, and I hid myself.” He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?” (Genesis 3:10-11 ESV)
Yes...Who told you you are naked!? Who told you you are not good enough!? God called people, because he made people in His image. He Himself is in each one of us, so how can we believe the Enemy!?
Well, let me tell you this. He is quite clever. He knows that the only way to stop the work of Jesus is to spread lies in hearts of God's Children. The people made after His own image, those guys He had given His life on the Cross to save...those people are His achilles heel. If satan can spread fear and doubt, he will have a chance to get back at our Living God!
Even someone like Gideon didn't believe he was capable.
Now the angel of the LORD came and sat under the terebinth at Ophrah, which belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, while his son Gideon was beating out wheat in the winepress to hide it from the Midianites. And the angel of the LORD appeared to him and said to him, “The LORD is with you, O mighty man of valor.”
(Judges 6:11-12 ESV)
We must start believing what God thinks of us! God called out to Gideon and said "O mighty man of valor". God sees what and who He has made and He knows what Gideon is capable of. Gideon still doubted and asked a lot of miracles to make sure God was really speaking to him, but God knew who Gideon was. He was a man with valor.
As soon as Gideon heard the telling of the dream and its interpretation, he worshiped. And he returned to the camp of Israel and said, “Arise, for the LORD has given the host of Midian into your hand.” And he divided the 300 men into three companies and put trumpets into the hands of all of them and empty jars, with torches inside the jars. (Judges 7:15-16 ESV)
When they blew the 300 trumpets, the LORD set every man's sword against his comrade and against all the army. And the army fled as far as Beth-shittah toward Zererah, as far as the border of Abel-meholah, by Tabbath. (Judges 7:22 ESV)
Now Zebah and Zalmunna were in Karkor with their army, about 15,000 men, all who were left of all the army of the people of the East, for there had fallen 120,000 men who drew the sword. (Judges 8:10 ESV)
WOW! God faught his fight. He had slain so many armies with only 300 MEN! We serve an amazing God! God just needs somebody with a burning heart, and He will qaulify the Called!
God calls...and He qualifies! Amazing! We must start believe what HE thinks of us and then we must GO with faith!
