Priority India

Dear Global Challenge supporters

The Northbound team is currently working at an orphanage in Kota, India. There are about 600 children accommodated in this Christian home.Kota orphanage

So often one becomes aware of the overwhelming need in the world, but doesn’t know how to get involved or whether one’s financial support will make a significant difference.

Here in Kota we have enough helping hands and willing hearts, but a lack of resources, to complete the task.

We identified the following projects to be the most urgent:

•           Mr. Thomas, the manager/father of the orphanage, had to move out of his apartment due to a serious roof leakage. We would love to be able to aid financially in the repair and restoration process of his apartment.

•           There are two floors of dilapidated rooms where some of the children previously lived. These rooms need to be renovated as quickly as possible to accommodate new children who are arriving soon.  The walls are in dire need of cleaning, sanding and a new lick of paint.

•           Another important aspect is to apply a tile covering to the bottom 1.5m part of the walls. This prevents the walls from being unnecessarily dirtied by a multitude of small hands. Tiles provides a more practical long term solution than paint, seeing that the cost of tiling is less expensive than two coats of paint.

We hope that you would prayerfully consider contributing to the Kota Orphanage Project. The bank details are:
