After spending close to 0ne week in J-Bay we are all amazed at what God has started to do in our lives so far! We had a local challenge this week and we had so much to do in such a short time that we had to run from point A to B and our group can really testify that god really provided in every need! We had a lot of challenges including washing 10 cars and eating 20 ice-creams, between 4 people this can turn out to be a bit too much! We also had to decorate a cake and...

It has been a while since my last blog entry because we have been in Israel for the last couple of days! We left Dahab to go and climb Mt Sinai, which has a lot of steps to get to the top!!! Getting to the top, we had the extreme realization that it was freezing up there! We even found some remaining snow on our way to the summit! There was a small church on the summit of the mountain and we where just in time to see the most amazing sunset! We left the mountain and headed straight for the...
A recent visit to Kuala Lumpur proved to be more than we bargained for! All of the teams arrived at Kuala Lumpur airport and we all made our way to Pudu hostel like a nice little group of tourists! Around 2 am we all went to bed in the extreme heat and struggled to fall asleep. 4 hours later Hatting woke us up cheerfully with a little brown envelope on our beds: Challenge number 2! All of us decided the previous day that we would have breakfast together so we did that and then the challenge started. The yellow team...
More than two weeks into this amazing year we are stil realizing more and more what this year is really about, and it increases our excitement! This week we had the privelage to get a taste of what is to come when we started working at a local primary school! We did what was necesary to get the job done! We also had some amazing experiences and awesome views! We just had to hang on to everything we had to prevent it from getting blown away, even ourselves at times! On Friday one of my new sisters selebrated her birthday...
Today was our first day of wandering around in Cairo, and it was awesome! We whent to see the pyramids, experienced the markets and we are planning on going for a boat cruise on the nile tonight, and all this with less than R100! Not going into the pyramids though, but we could get to within about 200m of the pyramids. We arived in Cairo yesterday, but before that we where spoiled at a desert retreat! It was amazing and the friendly people there treated us like family with large home cooked meals! With our departure in South Africa we...
It does seem a bit strange to be able to say that a country is wonderful after just two days in the country, of witch the first day was filled with surprise $25 visa costs and bus trips, but the today, the second day was so much better! We are staying here in Katman du for a couple of days until the 1st of June when we are flying to India, but today we had an amazing day in Nepal! We saw a mountain with a temple in the distance and decided to head for it! We tried to...
After a long time of no blogs from my side, one is finally going up again! Today is our last day in Panajachel. Tomorrow we embark on our Luke 10 journey from here in Guatemala to go and see if we can reach Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica with no funds. After a lot that has happend in my life I decided not to write a blog about Croatia simply because I could not put it into words! It was wonderful, yet horrible. It was so good for me, but it took so much from my side. It was one...
It has been a long time since my last blog and in the time it took me to blog again we changed countries! We went from Thailand to China, and what a shift that was! While we were in transit, we spent the night on Shanghai train station and we realised that it was Sunday the 19th - and everywhere were posters advertising the F1 race in Shanghai, today! We couldn't believe it and so we decided to go and see if we can watch some racing! We got to the train station and saw just one other tourist. We ran up to...
Arriving in Delhi was a shock! Coming from the nice and cool temperatures in China we headed over to the scotching heat in India. WE where surprised and many fell ill in the first few days. After a few days of exploring Delhi, dodging all the cars and cows in the busy streets we climbed in a train with a small fan above your head for 9 hours in the exhausting heat. We arrived in Kota and we were taken straight to the children’s home. We where so surprised by the friendliness and the willingness of the people to help...
