Killing Fields, Living Fields... Even though this is the title of a book depicting the life and times of the church in Cambodia during one of the most recent human atrocities, it very much speaks about the country as a whole these days. A country that only came out of a bloody time of war and occupation as recently as 1993, it’s slowly busy recovering to its once promising future which was laid bare by a regime of brutality and inhumanity a mere 30 years ago when anyone who seemed to be influenced in any way by the Western...

It is about 20 past 3 in the midst of our SILVER SMACKDOWN in MALASIA! After a six o'clock wake up call (AM, ofcourse), we discovered it's a Chalaaaange! After a good, hot and humid day, we all got our healthy share of walking, occassionally running and plenty of stairs (including up and down the 272 of the caves; very cool place but smells funny and the monkeys tried to attack me), we are writting our blog as the final task for today, just before getting our dead skin eaten away by fish before we rush to our finish at...
The first two weeks here in Jbay really flew by at an exceptional pace. The sounds and smells of the 'big city life' is a far cry from where I'm sitting now and I still find it hard to imagine that this is my new life...but with that comes the feeling of freedom and the comfort of knowing that someone much bigger than my imagination can fathom is in control!! At first this thought left a frown on my face but was quickly replaced with a smile and the recognition of God's sense of humour...and for the first time the phrase "less is more" actually makes sense!! It's probably the most liberating thing I've done in my whole life...and above the fear and doubt that the devil sneaks into our minds comes the undoubtable feeling of God's presence and an excitement I've never felt before!!! 1 Corinthians 9: 24-27 speaks...
Just as a quick reminder...we are in Egypt at the Red sea and here is more coral reef than you can imagine!! Anyway...besides all the beautiful scenery in the sea, and out, and getting to know all the locals in this amazing little town of Dahad, we also got to spend some time at a retreat outside Alexandria and three days in Cairo. In the time we spent at the retreat we recieved teachings on the Old Testament which broke so many things, thought processes and mysteries open for the first time!! The one thing that very clearly stood out for...
