  8 days, 8 flights, 8 countries, 8 airports, chicken buses, jeepneys and many hours of transit hearing about how we must watch our baggage! Peru has really been a place of seeing God, how he works and just so much more of him. Even the first night we set foot on the Peru side of the amazon river at Santa Rosa, it felt like nothing I had experienced before. Erin and I ended up with the statue drama, where one person is seemingly dead like a statue and the person is doing their very best to play with them.I try to make jokes with her and play games but she doesnt respond. Dissappointed  I pray about what to do, then get a bible to share Gods word with my statue friend and try to explain the gospel to her. Eventually giving up Ipray for her. After a while Erin comes alive and is so excited to see the truth and start playing....

In Colombia, we dug trenches!   We dug quite far and wide, but I really loved it. Hanging out with the blue team, moving pipes about and playing in the mud like we were small children again. But while working and being in "semi lock down" at the camp there was plenty of time to spend with God and also reflect abit on my journey so far. The time we have left here in Brazil is allready coming to the end! Which seems crazy. I have been amazed at how quickly a place very different to NZ home can really become home. The extremely welcoming nature of the people here definitely helps. I think in the past three weeks I have hugged more people than in my enture life up till then!
