You won't believe this!!

eating-out.jpgDear friends

During our visit to Guatemala last year a man  prayed over me saying that I will live in homes I didn’t own and drive in cars that wasn’t mine.

Now, at the time that sounded crazy and I was most sceptical.

A Church was planted...

ouma-nhokoteni-in-her-new-k.jpg29 April 2008

As I was tightening the last screw on the lock I just put into the door I saw “Ouma Nhokoteni” in the corner of my eye sitting on a chair in her kitchen. She was talking to two ladies I have never seen before in Red Hill.

Moments earlier she invited these two strangers into her new home and made them some fresh tea. Interested in what was going to happen next, I continued to fiddle with the lock.

He truly did meet Christ!

my-chinese-brother.jpg By Stefan / 6 April 2008 / One year since my last visit to China

Today I experienced one of the greatest feelings ever!

A friend of mine has come to know Christ!!

Exactly a year ago we met a young man travelling through China! He blessed us in so many ways and we really became great friends! Through building a close friendship we were able to share our faith with him.

CHINA UPDATE: Current GCX Status

bhudist.jpgThe team has asked me to give you a quick update on their current status in China.

You are all aware of the situation developing between Tibet and the Chinese government… This affected our team in the sense that some of the cities we would’ve visited during this month have now been closed to foreigners and all the teams have moved to a city closer to the Yellow River in Central China.

Uncompromised Faith

Stefan KleynLast week I was walking past the movies at the local cinema and what I saw was a huge shock to me: There wasn& rsquo;t one non occultist movie that you could watch. Even the movies for family entertainment and children had strong connections with some or other form of the occult or satanism!

In agreement with what I have observed the past two years in the world around me, my spirit has been crying out! I believe we are in a time like no other! I believe that the harvest is plentiful – the labourers few - and that satan is pulling out all stops to grab what he still can!

Some PHOTOS on our progress!

maggies-se-huis-008.jpg

Just a few quick pics to keep you up to date on the progress on Maggie's brand new home!

Because we are giving her an actual wood-floor (This will be the first house she has ever lived in with a floor other than soil) we had to dig some holes for the support beams.

This took us about two days, because of a lot of stones in the ground...

The answer was so obvious

maggie-en-ek.jpgA few times the past three weeks I've had the thought: “I would rather be here, than anywhere else in the world…”

These few words get new meaning when you are standing amongst the ruins of 72 burnt down shacks! The Red Hill fire-disaster in the Cape Peninsula caught a whole community by surprise, but I was certainly not prepared for what lied ahead of me as I drove along the road leading to the disaster stricken community for the first time.

Things could be different!!

I recently again read this piece by John Stott and would love to share it with you…

“We see with our minds eye the three thousand million unevangelized peoples of this world, who have had no real opportunity to respond to the gospel; the poor, the hungry and disadvantaged; people crushed by political, economic or racial oppression… We see these things: Do we not care?

Stand up and walk

jaquilinestefan.jpgIn 2006 we met a young lady, Jacqueline… she wasn’t able to walk or even stand up on her own. After much prayer we left her, trusting that God will continue his work in her.

We all want a home

hurricane.jpgAt the beginning of 2006 I travelled for the first time to Guatemala. This was just a few moths after a hurricane hit the town of Panajachel and we found many families without a place to stay.
