Phase One
I've always liked and preferred Land Cruisers. We owned one once and in my dreams I always see myself driving a Land Cruiser through Africa.
Yet, such is God's irony, and humour, that he sent me on a mission trip with a Land Rover. The vehicle I was taught to fear.
I’m walking, crawling rather
Broken on my knees
In the valley of the
shadow of death,
Nothing is left, nothing keeps
me going.
I’m ready
TO DIE.
[ As I walk the dusty roads of Red Hill, visiting people in their new shacks, I get convinced that this mission was more than just His. It’s mine as well. This is what it’s all about.
And so I pray everyday, that I serve not just the people but Jesus. Jesus is in Red Hill, it’s His. ]
The Airplane cruised down the runway , I could hear the engines increasing in speed as the noise grew louder and louder.
Then suddenly, just before take-off, one engine cut out. Silence. The pilot stopped the aircraft and taxied back to the airport.
Don’t renovate the hate
That
separates
But restore the core
Of what Christ spake
Resurrect the circumspect
Of words
that uphold the bold
