No Other Road Than His

I love Jesus...my heart's desire is to know Him and to be found in Him!
I love life, I love people, I love different cultures...and I love travelling;
why on earth would I not want to do the Global Challenge?

Just LOVE over them.

I have been challenged to get involved in the Syrian Refugee Crisis. I have the opportunity to go on house visits to some Syrian families living in Al-Mafraq, Jordan.

I greet the woman & children, take my shoes off and sit down on the floor. They serve me and my friends tea, although they have very little - most having fled out of Syria with only the clothes on their back. We give them a box of food - some essentials.

I hear their stories. I say I am sorry about what happened. I look at the shrapnel wounds of their eldest son. I give a few exercises. I look into their eyes. The 2 year old boy is hiding behind the wall - he is scared of people. The bomb that hit their house left him with scars on his head and left foot. Emotionally this little boy bears much deeper scars.

His beautiful mother looks at me, she bravely smiles...but as I look into her eyes they tell me the real story. This mother hen had fought to keep her children safe against all odds.

I look at the father. This Muslim man looks defeated. He use to be a banker, now he is registered as a refugee. He is not allowed to work. He has no means to provide for his family. He is totally dependent on the help of others.

I sit back against the wall. As I look at the family sitting in front of me I physically feel a pain in my heart. I pray inwardly...Lord, help them. Provide for them. May the get to know You, Jesus.
I ask the question: What must I do, Lord?

I feel the answer, before I hear it: Just LOVE over them.

As I look up, my eyes are full of tears. The father looks at me. He puts his hand on his heart and gives a small nod with his head...as if to say: Thank you for caring.

I pray again: Thank You Lord, they feel Your love.

You see, its not about me at all. I am only a small puzzle piece. God is shaking the Muslim world. He is pouring out His love and living waters over the desert souls of the Middle East. Many Muslim families are open and willing to listen to TRUTH...

As this family fled from darkness...they ran into the LIGHT
As this family fled from death...they ran into LIFE.
As the family fled from hatred...the ran head first into the source of all LOVE...JESUS CHRIST!

Pray with me, for this very strategic time in our history - that God will continue to send out His workers to these fields.
Then He said to them, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest." Luke 10:2
