Welcome to... BRAZIL!! Distant Worlds landed in São Paulo on Tuesday and were split up into smaller groups to go stay with families.

Jansie, Charné and I were welcomed by the Marinelli family and have been so blessed by them!

The food...the people...the music... I love Brazil! We had an amazing time worshipping God as fellow believers joined us for house church. We couldn't believe that a song such as "Let It Rain" was also in Portuguese! It sounded so beautiful, us three singing in English and them in Portuguese.

I came to realize: the God we serve is the same, whether in English or in Portuguese - His love is everlasting and His provision is awe-inspiring!

I was born into a loving Christian home in the tiny Free State town of Welkom. After six years, we moved to Pretoria, where I attended Hatfield Christian School. Despite all this, I found myself in bars and clubs every Friday and Saturday night last year. However, my Father rescued me and brought me out of darkness into light this year. He is drawing me into deeper intimacy with Him and, in doing so, He is changing my desire for bad things into a burning desire for His things. He brought me to a place where I can testify of His unmerited favour and boundless grace, since He saved a sinner like me and loved me despite my flaws.
