A poem describing how I experienced China:
By Elizma Myburgh
I give to you once more, o Lord
This country that you love
For all their sins you gave your life
For me to give was tough
I do remember when we prayed
We asked but for your way
I do remember my own pride
"I'll do just what you say"
But I fell short, and I lost hope
Seeking comfort of my own
You had to come, remind again
Restore in me your love
So even them I came to love
My heart for them do break
Religion, bondage, chains of old
Who'll cry out for their sake?!
For though they walk with faces smiling
Invite us to their games
Children talking in our language
Staring, still, into Hell's flames
How can I just look upon
Or how can I turn 'round
When all these people that I see
Are going underground
So I call upon you Lord
I call for you to come
And when you see this piece of land
Please Lord, don't walk, please run
Their grave I cannot comprehend
I knew nothing but Your grace
And so I ask for them to show,
To them reveal Your face
I give to You once more, o Lord
This country
that you love
For all their sins you gave your life
To me, a heart this soft
