White sandy beaches, palms trees, coconuts, bright blue water...the perfect setting for a fairytale. Or just a day on the beach in Thailand...
From the moment we arrived in Thailand we were awestruck with the beautiful nature. From lush, green bushes to white sandy beaches and palm trees. Just another little thing in God's creation.
What a blessing to be able to spend a few glorious days in Phuket, experiencing another piece of God's jewel.
We've spent a couple of days in Phuket where we were interceding for the students at the two universities in Phuket and our Malaysian team. We've been blessed with the best hostess ever, Dang, and her friends. We have been treated like princesses with Thai massages, days at the beach, seafood feasts in the middle of the ocean, shopping trips and of course, sticky rice and mango and rotti's. The two best treats in the whole world.
God has been amazing. He blessed me with a love for Thai people that I can't even begin to understand. I just love every person on this island and have real compassion for them. We've been in places where the Tsunami hit in 2004. It's shocking to see the photos and to hear the stories and to actually stand on that exact spot...and to look out on a bright blue and very calm sea. It's almost impossible to imagine the terror of that day. We even had a tour in one of the hospitals where we also saw photos of how it looked in the hospitals that day. You only get a glimpse of what the real event must have felt like.
A tsunami can happen suddenly and unexpectedly. It can take thousands of lives in one single moment. How many of the thousands of people who died that day were saved? How many more are going to die unsaved if another tsunami hit tomorrow? Experiencing these places and seeing the calm sea that can easily turn into a tsunami, urges me to share the Gospel with whomever I can. I just realize that our lives aren't a game and that there's a real battle going on. "For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places." Eph 6: 12.
I challenge you to share the Gospel with all the unsaved people around us. Have compassion and a heart for our brothers and sisters that are still lost. Do everything in your might to share the Gospel and save them. You might not know them personally, but you never know when it's going to be too late. Or when it's going to be one of your loved ones dying unsaved. Never stop praying for them.
"Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere." Eph 6:18
May God bless you,
Elzet
