The start of an amazing journey

I thought that  this year's journey would start when we flew to India at the end of Feb, but God had other plans. From the time I left home on monday the 11th of Jan He has been growing and stretching and teaching me.
The people are not nearly as scary as I first thought they were! When we got to share our stories with each other in a group this weekend God showed me that no matter how different we are (and we are VERY different) we are all in the same place in Christ, and we are all looking for the same thing and the same theme is present in all our lives: His love and His grace. what a powerful weekend! What unity we have! I was pretty scared of telling my story, but I was overwhelmed by the love and the acceptance of my group when I opened up, and the healing I experienced...

The training has been not like I expected but I have learned and grown so much! one of the coolest things is learning how to properly understand, apply and communicate scripture. we have only just started and I am very excited to learn more!

Then last night we had a powerful talk and worship session.. I was praying and I felt like I had reached a wall. I was so desperate to get closer to Him, but there was something in my way. So I asked Sally to pray with me. which she did. we were praying when she asked if I had been baptised. I hadn't. so I was. this morning at 6 in the freezing cold Jeffrey's sea. It was beautiful! God is so good!

If training is so amazing, just imagine what the actual journey is going to be like! "Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and to Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen." - Eph 3:20 -
