The Neglected Lady

The Lady Is called a Lady for a reason; she isn’t some type of robot that just provides the needs of us filthy men whenever we want something and just see her as a common servant. Moses did describe her in the book of genesis as a helper, but he did not say a lust pleaser. They are a lot more than that...they are delicate, they are precious, and they are God’s Creation....

Through my whole China experience, I had to work through a lot of frustration and hate according to the sin; prostitution. If there must be one thing in my life that puts me in negative mode at the moment, I would have to say that it is prostitution. I know that I am also guilty of using girls, like most of us boys do. But God really showed me His heart for prostitution this month, and it all starts with the love games we play in High school. It all bruises a girl’s heart, and leaves the boy empty for life, and only one healer can heal it.

So here is how it started:  in our first town Zhongwei we couldn’t find any hotels that fit our budget. Then we settled for a hotel in our price range around the corner from the bigger ones. When the red lights came on at night, and the sounds were audible through the walls, we realised that we were actually staying in a brothel.

We clearly recognized that God wanted us (yellow team) to intercede for the brothels and prostitutes in that town. We went exploring through the streets every day and the one time we were actually called into a place through the Holy Spirit. Where two Ladies immediately approached us with ulterior motives. There and then was when God punched me right in the centre with the start of a difficult, intense, emotional and very sad revelation. At that moment I didn’t exactly know what to do. I figured that praying would be best as it was only thing that I could do. Every time I looked at the ladies it just felt to me, that I could see a bottomless heart of emptiness and lack of True Love. It felt that I was about to flush the floor with tears. So while they led us to the rooms upstairs, we just prayed loudly in Afrikaans. Luckily later on they noticed that we weren’t interested in what they were able to give, but just the rooms alone. Then later on that night when I tried to fall asleep, the surround sound experience started. Yes I didn’t sleep much that night with a lot of hate and frustration going through my mind.

The time in that town did get better though, the following day we met a lady that was about our age. She took us for roller skating and some exploring around the town. It did take my mind of the whole experience, but it did definitely stay in the back of my head the whole time. We did have a lot of good times in this town as well but still something that I had to work through with the Lord. Moving on to our next town.....

On our way to the next town there was a lot stuff running through my mind, and more frustration with all the mosques around everywhere. As we arrived at the next town the police were already on our backs, they were actually a huge blessing. They took us to a Hotel that had nice facilities and affordable. I just worked through the whole experience of the previous town while the next was already its way.

While sleeping in our new hotel, a loud scream came from the hallway, a Lady’s scream to be exact. We went to the door to see what was happening, with the grace of the lord I didn’t go to the door, Wesley (my team leader) looked down the hallway, he then came back in, I asked what was it, the only thing that he could see were five men standing in the hallway.... And they just gave him a threatening look, so he came back in. He told me that he didn’t see anything active happening at that moment. We went back to bed, we also heard a few screams later that night but we just stayed in the room. The next morning Wesley and I went to the manager down stairs to hear what happened last night, Wesley then saw the videos of last night’s security cameras, we then got the shocking news that the Lady was actually raped in the room next door. This was when all the frustrating thoughts started. This was all happening just next to us, and there must be something that we could’ve done....... but I do believe that God did keep us in the room for a reason, because I think I would’ve lost my mind at that moment, and maybe my life as well.

So ja, then all the thoughts came again, I just couldn’t understand why five men will take one lady. I mean what is going on in those guys’ hearts? Where did this all start? What made them do all this?  In this town we interceded for the unrighteous of our enemy.

We also met a lot of nice people in this town; they took us for supper and to the only museum in that province. Even though we went to these entire places, the thoughts still came up the whole time. The Lord really helped me to work through all the hatred. He first threw me in the deep side to see how I would handle it on my own, but he was still there on the boat reaching for me, but the hatred just took over. The Lord showed me hate for the sin is good, but for the people is not. So I had to face it. The Lord really walked with me through all this, and he definitely held my hand really tight.

We then went to Xining for a few teachings with our friend who showed us about in China.

After that we headed of to Macau where we went for the final China debriefs. That was an amazing time we had one of our challenges there. The best thing there was that we or some of us got to go to a women shelter for abused women. I think this is where the Lord gave me the final answers for this hatred of mine. The Sisters at the woman shelter is really doing amazing miracles with these Ladies.haiyuan__rest_of_china_302.jpg They also gave me a lot of answers of where this sin’s roots start growing from. The one thing about the Ladies from China and the Philippines that I know is that they go and work in other countries, for a long time. That is when the men start looking for other opportunities to satisfy their sexual ‘needs’. Gross isn’t it, I mean you dedicated your life to one person and one person only.

I do believe God is still going to show me a lot on this part of life because I am really interested in relationships between opposite sexes, and anything that revolves around it.
