After some further tutorials in India (course named Veritas 2), which was super amazing and eye opening, we went to an orphanage. It was such a privilege but still challenging. All that the kids have is God. They don't have their own toys or own rooms or even their own beds. Seeing how their take on life is really inspiring! Every chlid to whom I have spoken to wants to become someone who helps other people to learn to know God, if it is a missionary or a nurse just to show someone in need a helping hand and love. They showed me a few things about commitment and dedication to God that I have never seen before - waking up early in the morning to pray for 30 minutes before preparing for school or setting time apart during the day just to praise and worship our God. The one thing that shocked me the most was seeing their circumstances and also realising that they are so content with it because for some, it is the only reality they know. It makes you think about your own life: are you also living in this small box where the world only revolves around you or are you open minded, seeing the crooked world and helping others who is not so privileged as you are?
Throughout my whole journey so far, I can testify that God is always faithful. In every need of ours, He has provided. If it was for funds for our project (He provided R26 000 in less than a week's time) or our health considering Malaria or even personal journeys, He always comes through with the solution! As the year progresses, it is so awesome to see God's doings/blessings everyday: how He blesses us or helps out other teams where they are! Hearing each day of someone's excitement because God helped them is so cool! And witnessing it in your own life is even better!
I hope that all of us may understand better who our God really is. Who we are serving. We are serving the God of the impossible, the loving and gracious God who loves us dearly and takes care of us, who saved us through Jesus Christ and the God that makes our lives satisfying and fullfilling, filling it with joy and excitement!
OUR GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD!
Challenge to all: Don't just learn about God, learn to know God the Father and Jesus Christ. (John 17:3) GOD wants an intimate relationship with you!
