“Nothing is hidden from Your sight;
Wherever I go You are with me;
You know every detail of my life;
You are God and you don’t miss a thing.”
The last week or so I’ve been thinking about the whole idea of my life and in what way God has control over the things that happen in my life. Reading stories of people like Joseph I have again just realized how God in intensely involved with what happens in our lives. When reading the words to the song above it just emphasizes how nothing on this earth is hidden from his sight. Nothing happen without God knowing thereof. He is Sovereign. Meaning He has supreme power.
God tells us in His word that:
From Him are all things, through him are all things and to Him are all things. Rom 11:26
The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for He founded it upon the seas and established it upon the water. Ps24:1-2
In Ps 139:1-18 God says that wherever we go He is.
Our Father did not create us to just leave us, he is involved. He has plans for us. Nothing happens in our life without God knowing of it.
If we take a step back and look at the God story and what God did for you. His hand was busy from the beginning. He intervened hundreds of times, revealing himself to Abraham, calling him to Canaan. Directing the descendants of Abraham to Egypt through Joseph just so that he could lead them out of it again hundreds of years later. To establish and reveal himself through a nation from which a Saviour would come which would ultimately pay the ultimate price so that you can be reconciled with HIM. If we look at it like that we realize how significant we are to our Father and that he is in control.
Bringing it back to our lives. God knows every detail thereof. He loves us. Good or bad, joy or sadness he knows of it. And he has a plan with it. For me it is encouraging to know that GOD KNOWS. I can trust HIM in ever situation in my life.
Because He says: And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to his purpose. Rom 8:28
