Vietnam was a warm hearted country with open, smiling faces.
You would guess that after the war people would be hard to anyone that looks american, but that wasnt true at all.
Vietnamese youngsters and even older people would walk up to you to learn some english by simply talking to you. Little groups would even approach you to find an opportunity to speak and learn english.
This opened a lot of doors to tell people about our beuatifull country, what we are doing, and share our testimonies. We were blessed with a host which we met by "accident" . He helped us to connect with the church, and a program called little hearts foundation. This is where the team served with some painting that had to be done.
All in all this country was a blessing. We had some time of rest , but also had some time to really connect with people and helped where we were needed.
I think the off times did us well,to really just spend time togheter as a team. Ass well as having time to really spend in the Bible.
We even met some South-Africans who invited us for a braai. We felt right at home!
This is definatly a country to remember.
Now its off to sheep farms, hard work, and some more sun...
