Egypt: the in's and outs

Hey all our Yellow Team fans :-)

A lot has happened since the last time we spoke...we pick up then where we left off! Anafora (25 Feb - 2 Mar) was loaded with some study and learning time but we also see it as a huge privilege that we had to ease into the Egyptian culture by being introduced to it in all its various forms, although secluded in the sense that we were looked after by our hosts and ot in the city as such. Great preparation for Cairo with its 26 Million (according to the locals) people living there! Our team had to split due to accomodation arrangements and allready we were faced with our first 'how-committed-are-we-to-the-team-and-each-other' and most importantly, God! - situation. But endurance brings reward and in retrospect the Cairo experience was so good for us!

"I came to the conclusion that I needed to put myslef much lower than my team and love them as family. And once I did that the Lord revealed to me, that the Yellow Team is family, and they are brothers and sisters, not just for this year, but forever! And that changed my entire outlook for this year and I beleive it has for the entire Yellow Team!" Lindi

From Cairo we went by bus to Dahab - a coastal town next to the Red Sea. During these few days we continued with Veritas module 2 and soaked the town in prayer and made friends and we just were - doing what we are hoping to become the best at this year: living a God-seeking lifestyle and by so doing exemplify true freedom in Christ! We snorkeled in the Red Sea and enjoyed the beautiful piece of land that we were privileged to be part of for a few days while tasting, smelling and seeing some of the culture and getting to know the people!

Last stop for Egypt was Mount Sinai. This was a breathtaking experience for each of our team members and we as a team had a great time of prayer and fun up the mountain!

Egypt: check. First country is allready 'covered' ground and breakfast, lunch and supper are the most enjoyable times together as a team - we laugh, encourage and enjoy each other so much and entering the next country with such unity can only expect an expectation for an even more packed blog next time!

Love
