Friendly faces all around...

We’ve been in China  4 weeks and visited different cities, okay more town like than city like but that’s what made it so interesting!!  Because we went to towns most of the people are astonished by foreigners.  Thus entertaining them is easy, just by walking along the streets and saying ‘knee how’ (this spelling is totally wrong but when you read it aloud the pronunciation is correct) gets you giggles and smiles from all around...

This is the start you have every time you arrive in a new town and it’s almost always the same reaction. The older people almost always just stare at you until they are use to you walking by and greeting them, the young adults either get over excited or are checking you out not knowing if your fake of not, the teenagers always greet over excitedly with a ‘Halloo” and a giggle there after and then the little ones can spot you a mile away, wants to greet you but are scared and tell their parents ‘look mommy, look!!’.  But even though you have these different reactions, it’s always reactions with joy.

During my time in China I realized that even if the shell of a person looks so happy and joyful you can’t judge if that person is really alive. You are wondering how do you know if a person is alive?

What I’ve came to know is that all religions have a type of bible that they follow, even if it’s the Quran, but if it’s dead then there is things that you decide is not applicable anymore today, even when you’ve followed and believed it before. Say for instance when you believed that getting drunk (not just having a glass of wine, but DRUNK) is wrong, but are now more ‘open minded’ about it, you are probably following some dead God, or are dead in your religion.

The reason I’m saying this is because I’ve noticed that other religions are starting to ‘fade’.  We are in a day and age where kids are starting to try things for themselves and not just keeping to their parents God’s because ‘they said so’. Thus they are starting to mix the ‘stuff of the world’ with their religion.

Where as an alive God will draw you closer, where you would have done all those things in the past, as you get closer to Him you don’t want to do it anymore and stop. Not that He forces you but because you get to love His holiness more. His word comes alive in your live even in this day and age. His word, the Bible, is still just as relevant as it was thousands of years ago. His word take root in your live and that is when you come alive.

Alive is to live with everlasting life, to walk with God and knowing what Jesus did for you, to accept Him and repent! Abide in Him and grow because of Him.

I would say in conclusion that the temple you are going to portrays a part of what is inside of you. If you go to a temple where you worship man made statues/idols then man-made stuff is in your heart thus making you dead. The Lord Jesus is alive and lit up your smile from within.

So next time when you see a friendly face, remember what is inside the heart is more important that what is showing. Share Gods fullness with the people around you by your fulfilled smile. May God draw you to Him and remember to repent so that He can receive it.

Amen and blessings
Zylna
