If you can remember in one of the team blogs we told you about the expensive dinner we had with that Chinese boy. Well we paid that with a heart of: ‘Lord this is for your glory and so we sow this into your kingdom’ type of heart and the Lord heard it as He usually does. So I’m about to tell you about what you sow you will reap... in abundance!! Since that day we as the global challenge X group have received so much from the Lord.
ow in Malaysia our budget were under the daily expenditure… We started out with a budget of RM12per person per day, but with the savings we’ve had in China increased to RM16pp/pd. Just before we got the challenge on the 3day in Kuala Lumpur they transferred more money into our account which made it RM20pp/pd. Now to give you an idea of expenditures in KL it’s more or less RM30pp/pd. We’ve prayed about it and gave it to God and just work with what He gave us.
While we had so little money God came and challenged me to not withdraw any money in Malaysia so that I will have to rely on Him fully for any yummy stuff or just things you need. Up until now I can tell you He has been faithful.
On the Sunday our challenge finished and they told us where we were going to go to for the next 3weeks. You see they were splitting us all into 3 different groups as God told them. 2 of the groups went to Thailand and the other 1 stayed behind in Malaysia. Tjaart and Jana were in a group going to Thailand and the rest of us (yellow team) stayed behind in Malaysia. That evening they also told us another person’s money was paid in making our budget RM25pp/pd!!!So that night would be the last night we as yellow team would be together for the next 3weeks. God came and gave us pastries for free from a bakery!!!
Some of us that were staying behind wanted to go to the seaside and spend a day or two there before we have to report for duty on the Thursday at a school where we are going to work. We prayed about it and gave it to God also knowing if He’s not going to provide, somehow, we are not going to be able to go. Thus He did came and show us how much of a Fathers heart He has - He provided.
The church we went to on the Sunday in the challenge mailed us and said that they will provide the accommodation!!! We were so pleased and thankful. We contacted them and they told us that they will also take us and fetch us again, also they have included breakfast for us!!! It was such a blessing to all of us.
So on the Tuesday they came and fetch us and took us to Port Dickson. When we’ve arrived they said: ‘No, no now we go for lunch’ with them ‘you have to taste the seafood’. Afterwards they took us back to the flats and before they left gave us money for dinner!!! The next day we had our lovely breakfast (more like a brunch) and enjoyed the day. They came and picked us up, brought us back to KL and then… surprise, surprise DINNER. God just used them so much to bless us and He didn’t just bless us with the food but with people like them. They are amazing children of God that just seek to live for the Lord. They lift your spirit up just by spending time with them and making you yearn for Him all the time.
After this God has blessed us with another fine meal with them. We also met a couple in the schools church which is from South Africa (or rather the man comes from SA) that has blessed us with their presence and took us out for dinner which was also AMAZING.
So all and all I just want to say that you will reap when you sow with a pure heart. God came and gave to the team & me more that what we would have been able to pay for ‘cause friendships like these you can’t pay for!!
