God's attention to detail

I should probably start of by telling you that we did paint Meagan Fox's house, as I stated on Facebook. But where the idea come from that it is the Meagan fox from Transformers, I am not sure. hahaha oeps.

The life changing part of Canada for me thus far, is when we set of on a semi Luke 10. We are hiking North and with a loop going to the camp where we will be working for a while. In the beginning we got a few easy lifts, It didn't take lang for us to start making good process. Until one stage we waited for a while. I remembered that people have told me stories before, about asking God specific things and make a list of what their needs were. So I wanted to see how much attention to detail God has in my live.

John 14:13 (ESV) Whatever you ask in my name, that I will do, So that the father may be glorified in the Son.

The Dolphin Psychologist

A small Canadian girl who wanted to become a dolphin psychologist was one of my friends this weekend. She loves animals and loved to pet the snake we cought. Her dad is the man in charge of the camp site where we are working. We currently revamping a summer camp next to a lake. We are repacking storage rooms and unloaded a truck full of donations of chairs and equipment that a church gave the camp site. We have learned that hard work is not always lifting heavy things but sometimes just plain scraping a wall before painting it. It just is not as much fun as moving big things but lots can be learned. I asked God to learn me something or show me something that can make me understand Him more. This is what He reviled to me:

And they said Global is going to be hard...

This is just a short update on what is happening lately. We destroyed a building and cleaned up after words. We are working through Bible studies and tried to apply for Egyptian visas. This is the best part. We went to the driving range and played a few shots. This was so much fun! For the people that don’t know me well. This was my first time I had the chance to take a full swing at a golf ball. We went ice skating and even went to Niagafalls.

Life after Global

Life after Global
I was part of the 2012 Work your way team and it was amazing an all that. The thing that got me by surprise was that my life after a year on GCEX didn't just stop. Maybe it is only my life, but it still feel like I am on one of the journeys. I might be back in South Africa but its like it is a new country part of the journey. It is just different people that in need of a savior and love.   God is opening doors for me that normally didn't open. It is just as crazy as...

Fun on the trains

Lots of things happed on the trains in India. Schalk and I had to sleep together on a bed that is as wide as the distance for my fingers to my elbow. We had to do that for 2 nights now.

This one night we were sitting all together and one unlucky Indian man was sitting against the wall in the corner and doesn't understand English. So we wanted to mess with his head a little bit. We dined like Peter Pan. (Everything we did was fake and imaginary) We talked to the waiter and ordered starters, meals and milk shakes, everything you could think of. Schalk offered the man his drink but he didn't want it, so Rueben drank it. We held our pose as much as possible and had so much fun. The poor man. hahaha.

I GOT BAPTIZED!

I really didn’t think I was going to get baptized this year. I was baptized as a baby and thought of it as if it was something I could just tick off in spiritual journey. Throughout this year, up until now, God showed me what the baptism is really about. I have heard teachings and I have read the Bible but never took t to heart. God opened my ears and planted it into my heart that I should get baptized. So that was what happened.

GOD ROCKS!

This blog is going to be one of the most difficult blogs to wright. We have seen so much and Gods work is everywhere and every day. I don’t know what to write, so let start with some background info. We left Canada after we had a TV interview, which will air in June or July. We landed in France and went back to London. We saw the queen, that was unexpected and then on to Jordan. It is a fun place to stay for the 2 days. The best thing was going to Petra! It is amazing! I didn’t...

BIG EXPECTATIONS FOR CANADA

The time in Mexico was fun, and we spent some time with a man that lived in the hostel where we stayed. It was with out a bout a meeting set up by God. Cancun it self was an experience just to be there. On the airport a few ours before we flied out, we got so hungry and didn't have money to buy food, so we sat in a restaurant and ate left over meals. We were experiencing something not a lot of people have the chance to ever do.  We have tasted almost every thing on the menu + we had a hole lot of chips.

After a lot of prayer for visa's and a long wait, we are in CANADA!

This is where it continued

We helped at a church in their gardens. It was fun and everything went well and normal for a day then it happened again, God blessed us out of our minds. The Church said we can borrow their van. We had transport to all the places we wanted to see. Because we had a car so we were on the other side this time. We picked up hitchhikers and gave people lifts. We then picked up a woman from Germany. She loved to travel with us; she stayed with us for 3 nights: From the Sea of Galilee to the Dead Sea. She bought us food some times and made sure we ate healthier. I think we bombarded her with so much truth that she has to come to Christ soon.
