What a blessed time it has been! From amazing teachings and testimonies in Jeffreys-Bay, to serving and sharing the Good News to the community of Mahosheni, and to just grow in unity as a team(especially through the survivor camp and camping with the kids of Global Leadership Academy), the training was an amazing journey, and it's amazing to know that an even bigger journey is about to start for all the teams! Here is a short video of who the Work Your Way 2011 team is and some of our experiences during training! (Enjoy!) [video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e1BS7INtqW8 400x300] To all the other...

AIDS • we've all heard about it and the devastating effect it has had on our community, yet we so seldom get the opportunity to get our hands dirty. We can be your hands. • At the end of 2009, there were 33.3 million people in the world who have been diagnosed with Aids, of which 5.6 million are from South Africa. • 10% of all people living with Aids in SA...
Work Your Way´s journey starts of in Gautemala!
(Hi everyone! This blog was suposed to be posted yesterday, but due to some unforeseen circumstances we are only able to post it today.) We are in Phuket!! If you wondered why there was no blog yesterday, it was because we travelled and only arrived late in Phuket. Stephan and the people that we stayed at in Hatyai blessed us tremendously with accommodation, but it was more than just a bed, Stephan actually moved out of his flat for a day or two just to accommodate us. We will be forever thankful for his hospitality. A songtou (a bakkie with...
It's time to experience the heart capturing India for yourself. Work Your Way went to India for about a month to serve at Immanuel Orphanage on the outskirts of Delhi. Our whole team experienced something new about God in this country. One of these things would definitely be to find the love and compassion He has for children all over the world. If this video gets your heart pumping a bit faster for the children of the nations, then maybe God is calling you for Children Ministries? Even though we went to teach them, I can say with out a...

During the month of May, Work Your Way spent their time ministering, serving and sharing in Malaysia and Thailand. From serving at Pastor Sylvanus in Malaysia, to doing our Luke 10 journeys(Read Luke 10 to see what this journey is all about) all over Thailand to serving with an old Global Challenger, Tobie, in Phuket, Work Your Way has truly had a blessed time and experienced something new of God in so many ways! Watch the video as we share just a touch of what God revealed to us about himself: [video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blBJ88eg2vE 600x450]
Today was our first real travel day on this leg of our journey. After a 6 am wakeup, corporate prayer, packing and cleaning, we left Reggae Backpackers. We only found out that today that Adam, the landlord, is also a Christian and we had a quick chat with him and blessed him before leaving. We decided to travel light and left all our big bags in storage. No sleeping bags, warm clothes or any luxuries. Just the necessities. We took a train to get out of the city and started hitch hiking. At this point we split into 2 groups...
Fear contradicts Love! During our time here in Thailand, a car rolled off the road and ended up smashed at the side of the road. Welman and I were about forty meters behind that car when all this took place. We stopped and miraculously all 4 people inside the car came out alive. It then just struck me. In a blink of an eye four people’s lives could have ended just there and then, without warning. And it is sad for me to say, but the harsh reality of all of this is that all four of those people were...
Following Jesus? I am currently in India together with the rest of the work Your way team. Apart from enjoying the absolute innocent love I’m receiving from the children at the orphanage and working hard on a water reservoir we are building for the orphanage and just experiencing the incredible India in so many different ways. From going to watch IPL to experiencing the scorching Indian sun, getting eaten alive by mosquitoes at night, seeing the Taj Mahal, shaking my head sideways like the Indians do, spending time with Indians who have a hunger for Christ and also with...
