Africa! What a beautiful place Rwanda and Uganda was🇷🇼🇺🇬 I was mesmerized by the kind hearts of these people. We thought that we were going to serve and love. Instead we have been served and loved so much more. And what makes this even more special is that these people really don't have much. But what they do have they give away or served us with that.
Â
Holding an african child on my lap, waving at schoolkids screaming Muzungo, hugging baby goats and just loving the friendly hearts welcoming you around every corner! I was thinking back on childhood. Each day began mysterious- never knowing what new games we were going to play, what tree branches we would explore, what songs we would sing in our imaginative games and what new friends we would meet. What an adventure childhood was!Â
Â
It is so sad how nowadays we feel like our whole world is going to fall apart if we don't know the planning of our day or week.
On this journey I have learned to let go of that control, to be okay with NOT always knowing what is going to happen next. At first this was so frustrating but now I've come to a place where I've learned to embrace the mystery.
Â
A place of actually getting excited about each day when I wake up because I know God went before me and has set conversations, new people, new adventures, new laughs, new learning curves, beautiful new flowers, a new sunset and a new sunrise that never happened in history ever before.
Â
Sometimes we tend to get so caught up in our future planning, all our issues that still needs some sorting out- we have our spiritual to do lists (you know what I'm talking about), we are constantly waiting for something big to happen, waiting for one day when.., waiting until we feel perfect. And until then we think we will never feel content.
Â
But I l've learnt and am still learning to WHEREVER YOU ARE, BE ALL THERE. To trust God enough that He is busy doing amazing things in your life and molding you EVEN when you don't know or struggle to see what He is busy doing. Even when you don't know what He is teaching and showing you in the time and season you are. But to just celebrating that He IS good and embarce where He has put you.Â
Â
I trust God that the people around me is exactly the people I need in my life right now and Africa is exactly the place where I needed to be for the past 3 weeks because this is where God has placed me.Â
Â
If I don't embrace and cultivate every moment of where God has put me, I'l miss Jesus and the people that forms part of my story. Even when god is not revealing yet things I'm asking Him, i'll embrace and rejoice in the mystery. Even when it is not always easy and I do not always understand, I'll embrace the mystery.Â
Â
He has made everything beautiful and appropriate in its time. He has also planted eternity [a sense of divine purpose] in the human heart [a mysterious longing which nothing under the sun can satisfy, except God]--yet man cannot find out (comprehend, grasp) what God has done (His overall plan) from the beginning to the end.
ECCLESIASTES 3:11Â

Thankyou Jesus that there is beauty in the mystery!Â
