Covid-19 — the unknown to men, the known to God.
2020 — a year that we thought we knew the outline of the drawing, the colour of the picture, the game plan of the match. It's time for a different chapter. A chapter God already wrote.
Our journey is like a new movie. We've already seen the trailer of Global Challenge Expiditions 2020. We've decided to step into the cinema to watch how our expectations will onfold...
BOOM! Our movie suddenly hits a climax — a plot twist no one expected. Scenes filled with face masks and uncertainties were the scripts that followed...
We are all being tossed around in our movie. Questions fills our thoughts : "Why is my year like this?", "Why do I have to wear a mask?", "What is the bigger picture of Corona?"
These are questions that traps us in boxes with no hope and vision for the year ahead. We are all so caught up by our own plans and ideas that didn't worked out. The box blocks our vision to see that everyone is experiencing total chaos and that some people don't even have a box as a shelter.
The moment we came back from Brazil I was challenged to climb out of my box of my own ideas. Every single one of us experienced a plot twist in our movie — not just me. Once you step out of your box you will see that God is building a Covid castle out of all the boxes.
God knew that 2020 would be painted with Covid-19. God is busy with an artpiece. He is busy with a canvas — painted with colours of Corona that hangs in 2020's hall of fame.
The hall of fame is flooded with the goodness of God. The bricks are semented by testimonies of God's greatness. I stand in awe everytime I turn my head around to look down the hallway and see the beauty of every canvas He has painted on in my life. Why do we then struggle to see the beauty of the 2020 painting?
For the past couple of weeks God was opening my eyes to see the beauty of His 2020 creation. This year is so beautiful! We are constantly living in a miracle.
We are surrounded by His orchestra. An orchestra filled with different components that constantly praises God. Melodies are made by compassion, abundance, serving, humility, love, unity and fellowship. Those are the violins, cello's and quitars. The notes on the saxophone, tuba and trumpet are played by the thunder, rain, sunsets, wind, flowers, sunrises and the ocean. The orchestra will never stop playing, but its your choice if you to come to the concert.
2020 – A year where we still don't know the outline of the drawing, the colour of the picture or the game plan of the match. But that is the fun part of adventuring with God.
Covid-19 – still unknown to us, but it will forever be known to God.
