Fantastic Journey of Faith

Although my journey of faith only starts in 2013 - it feels like it already has. To see God's provision for my team members and myself thus far has been amazing! As He is preparing my heart for next year - I am just reminded of the gentleman that He is! If I look back at all the miracles, testimonies and great things He has done, helped me through and blessed me with in my life so far, I stand in awe. I believe that next year will be no different!
I have gained new respect for the words "faith" and "obedience" as this is what God has been teaching me more about the last couple of months and even though it might not be the easiest lessons to learn, I believe it is worth it, for I know God and He always keeps His promises! (Just like He reminded me through Ps 84 again this morning while praying about my finances) Therefore, I choose to walk in faith and obedience and invite you to do the same - it is totally worth it!! :) *Blessings!

Bizarre Brazillian Besties

*Flying to Brazil and having an extra 5 hours in your day
*Looking like polka dotted humans because of the 109 mosquito bites on only one half of one leg..
*Living with people who have alligators as pets - and playing with them!!
*People having tortoises as pets - and then eating them!
*Jumping off a boat and swimming in the Amazon River
*Having a Brazilian treat (Asaii) which stains every part of your mouth purple and having it taste like ground
*Losing stranger's underwear into the Amazon while trying to get it out of he rain - and then having to try and explain that using sign language...
*SEEING PINK DOLPHINS!!!
*Swimming in the main Amazon River while fish bite the mosquito-bite-scabs off your legsblog 7
*Because of their very bad drainage system - going to the toilet and throwing your toilet paper into an open bin beside the toilet in a very small and very hot cabin so that the next person can see&smell exactly what you did..
*Using the bathroom in the middle of the night in the dark just to run out with your pants on your knees because the fire ants invaded your toilet paper!!
*Eating sausage made from blood
*Eating an orange that looks like a lemon..
*Having cashew nut juice and trying to pretend you like it while it tastes like vomit
*Having chicken hearts on a stick
*Seeing an ant as big as half your thumbblog 6
*Sleeping with 60 people on one floor of a boat - all in hammocks on the Amazon River for 6 days
*Having conversations with people not understanding a word - miming! :)
*Driving like a maniac - and that while on the wrong side of the road
*Eating the root of a plant that could poison us when eaten raw
*15 people canoeing back from the tribes on the Amazon in the middle of the night without any light while boats pass in the other direction
*60 year old man giving his heart to Christ and receiving the Holy Spirit - when Jesus interprets his heart!!
*Walking to an orphanage in knee-deep water - which is suppose to be the road
*People not knowing how to throw a paper into a bin - but instead throw it into the beautiful jungle or river
*7 people staying together in one 2X1meter room
*Finally learning Portuguese just to find out we're leaving for Spanish countries - and having Spanish lessons while on a boat
*Having coffee so strong your tongue goes into spasm and the people only have cups as big as your big toe
*Having different fresh bread rolls and chocolate milk for breakfast every day for a week!
*Having home made syrup-jam made from something that looks like a parasite growing on a tree - and LOVING it!
*Using "Google Translate" to hear prayer requests
*Swimming around a boat on river when finding out you just swam through the sewage discharge area...
*WITNESSING MANY "DIVINE APPOINTMENTS" END IN HEALING, MIRACLES, SALVATION AND FREEDOM!!! Whooooohoooo!
