The dessert run!!
The 4wd dessert run starts. The adventure I waited for. The Land Cruisers where packed and ready to got. Generator, amp, DVD player, projector every thing to show the J_sus film in the dessert.
The first well was 50 km away from Tanout. With a local P_stor as navigator we hit the dessert tracks, a few hours later we arrive being welcomed warmly by the Fulani community who live around this specific well. The 70m deep well the only source off water in the area.
We walked to the well and watched how approximately 50-60l of water gets drawn up by 4-5 donkeys a camel or oxen over a pulley with a rope. Live is different here then what I am used to.
As the sun set we set up the equipment for the DVD. Another awesome evening many people came forward for prayer and the following morning after the b_ble study there where numerous t_stimony of mir_cles of healing among the people. It was an encouraging time for the few b_liev_rs in the community.
Late morning the following day it was time for the following desserts stretch of 100km. Arriving at the 2nd well the event repeated itself just with no response the evening but a successful b_ble study the following morning. It is awesome how open the Fulani people are open to the g_spel.
Mind morning it was time for another challenging dessert drive back to Tanout. My respect level for the old Toyota Land Cruiser Station Wagon definitively increased a few notches.
Back in Tanout we had a b_ble study with a difference that evening, with the aim to encourage small groups. The evening was a great success, and something amazing happened. A demon manifested in a women and through G_ds gr_ce and lots of pr_yer the demon was cast out and the woman freed from bondage. The following day she walked around the village telling the people what J_sus has done for her.
We hit the road again to Aberbissnat. Tar road this time further north. The only puncture we got was on a smooth tar road. Arrived at the P_stors home, meet the local army chief, there is a strong military presence due to rebels in the dessert. Traveling further north military escort is procedure. Set up the Projector in the market square. Towards the End of the Dvd the picture quality was so bad we had to stop. Regardless of that 4 Fulani's came forward to choose C_rist. The following morning 3 of the 4 where at the P_stors home for b_ble study.
All glory be to G_d. May the seed fall on Fertile land.
