Our time in Portugal was truelly a blessed time. The people there were so friendly and they did everything they could to make us feel at home. Some of them could not speak English very well, but we managed to communicate by show of hands, pointing or guessing the words. They really opened their hearts to us and it was a privilege to meet them. One of the highlights for me was the basketball we could play with some of the kids there. This one day I played for quite some time with Ismael, he is so full of joy and energy and we laughed as we tried to shoot the hoops! Even though we could not speak to much, we both imparted something into each others lives.
As we left Portugal our one flight was a bit delayed which nearly caused us to be late for our flight from Spain to Guatemala. Running through the airport we made it and began the longest flight of my life. It is so amazing to stop and think about what we are doing and where we are going. God knows that it is the desires of my heart to see the world and He loves to bless us with this privilege. We are know in Guatemala and it is a beautiful country. It seems that everywhere we go the people are friendly, but almost everybody here would great you if you walked by or looked in their direction. It is so amazing the realize that Jesus for everyone of us and that He knows us all by name!! His hearts desire is that everyone should be saved and join in the life that He has for us.
God is really forming and equipping us to carry out His commands to the ends of the earth! It is both an honor and responsibility that we can't ignore! Love one another, just as I love you! May we grow to realize just how great His love for us is and may this compel us to wholeheartedly and dangerously seek Him and His glory!
