The Compass of Life

Greetings my King.

Thinking back on the life changing things that happened during the year, mesmerized with the feeling of nostalgia as I project myself back to those beautiful places where life grasped me by the hand and tugged me into the divinity of His beautiful creation. I look back to the times where I learnt to appreciate the smell of fresh air, the sound of birds chirping, glorious white gold and feeling cold without an air con. Times like these.

Adventure and a lust for life developed within the deepest parts of my entire being. The passion of being on FIRE for Jesus ignites more and more as the days are becoming less. Champions we've become as we have faced challenges on journey. We've lost the desire to please people and learnt to be REAL. This came through falling short, failing hard but getting back up again.

In Laos, 7000 families lost their absolute EVERYTHING in a tragic flood. Imagine losing everything you have for just a second, waking up in the middle of the night to water rushing in, through your home. Eye opener. This time was a really good time for team volunteering at the flood victims camp, but my heart was broken for the Laotian people.

The campsite we were by was surrounded by lush, green, beautiful, high mountians and it rained hard every day. Every morning we would wake up early to do devotions and the mountains would have a scarf of low clouds every single morning. Laos was an unexpected blessing. A revitalization of my soul, being able to breathe in fresh air, and hear nothing but insects and other creatures on the earth, to be calm, after being surrounded by crazy city traffic and crazy civilization.

The significance of this journey, is that we get to love people who have never been loved, walk a walk with with the one who loved us first, experience the most unorthodox things, introduce young and lively youth to the one thing that matters most, Jesus. There is so much significance lying in this year. We get to experience the things that no ordinary traveller or even missionary gets to experience.

Get down and don't be afraid to get dirty, Its often then that its the most fun to be in the perplexity of an obstacle, dig in deep to the essence of it.
