Will you die for someone?

yellow1.jpgThe last few days of training has really been great! We have been talking about who God is. Firstly God the Father followed by God the Son with God the Spirit to come.

It was with a small group session talking about God the Son where we had to read 1 Peter 1: 18 - 20
God truly talked to me though this and showed me a side of Him I never thought about.

1Pet. 1:18-20 For you know that it was not with perishable things like silver or gold that you have been ransomed from the worthless way of life handed down to you by your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or defect. On the one hand, he was foreknown before the foundation of the world, but on the other hand, he was revealed at the end of time for your sake.

A question arose in my mind...Would I die for someone else? I thought to myself. YES I would!
Then the big one came... Would you go to hell for the sins someone ELS committed?
Would you got to hell and experience all the pain and suffering to pay for the sin of someone else?
Lets take it further...Would you go to hell for the sin of a whole generation? Would you go to hell for the sin of a whole human race? Experiencing all the pain and suffering on there behalf?
And finally... Would you create a whole human race knowing that you would have to go to hell for there sins?

That is what Jesus did for us, that is just one of the things Jesus truly is. The Lamb of God!

I can only explain it in one word... LOVE!
