News from India and New Zealand

Algies BayNew Zealand is really great, in the physical I mean. We spent our first week in the Algies Bay Cottages, right next to the ocean. God just came and blessed us with a place where we only had to pay for the first night, with the rest of the week for free. God is so great!

Our first week in India was spent in the wonderful Himalayan Mountains where we did a Veritas Bible Study module. But our whole team really needed this rest as after the Mountains we traveled to the Emmanuel Missions orphanage in Cricket in IndiaKota where we spent every single moment of the day working, either working with the kids, painting the school, playing cricket or working in the office as I did. It was amazing, just to see how the kids love God, how they get up at 5:30 in the mornings to pray and how they are just so happy. Having nothing but God to make them happy. But it was really hard work as well.

God really used me in India in the main office of the Emmanuel Missions ministry. They really needed some one to help out with the computer system and networking, and as know a bit I couldNetwork Cables help out.

Spending the whole two weeks at the office from 9am to about 8pm Main Swith BoxI had to rewire the whole office, installing about 30 new network points. Only after I had taken out all the old unusable wires. I also installed a new modem and switch for the network, fixed the Internet and wireless and ran a maintenance check on all the computers and laptops. Main Switch and ModemAlso setting up an email server which they will also use for their Indian website in the future, and lastly making a repair guide and CD so they can fixed it all on their own in the future.

Vicram, Paul, Ronald, Herman, VipanThus I also needed a bit of a rest!

The rest of the week was a bit hard for me in the spiritual. It seems a bit dull compared to India. To ME it seemed that  a feeling of  "We dont need God" really overwelmed in New Zealand. Just because of the fact that the people are so much more well off. But this is not the fact with all New Zealanders, this is just the general feeling I experienced.

This week God sent us to the North Cross Community church where we helped out with the holiday program. Kids SingingThe kids were from age 5 to 11 and were really full of energy. What fun it was to spend time with them. Just rolling and running around like mad people! We also helped out with the drama, main teach, story time, crafts and the games. Hundreds of games!

Building a Winegum TowerToday however was our last day and it was really sad to have to say goodbye. But I believe we did all we could, giving it 100%, teaching them about Jesus and just being friends to them. Please pray that God will keep on working in their lives.

We are slowly getting ready to leave for Guatemala soon and will fly out on Tuesday.
