God´s abundant provision

Our life changing journey began with enormous favour from God. After constantly travelling for more than two days we had a choice to make: we knew we needed to get to Chile in four days time to begin our ministry but our bodies needed rest, and our finances were limited... We didn’t even have enough money to travel to Asuncion in Paraguay to catch our flight to Chile. 

After praying in a random bus station, God provided a place nearby to rest, a campsite, which exceeded our expectations greatly. We camped out and had a chance to see the Iguazu falls... wow our Daddy is so mighty and His living water blows your mind. We woke up early the next morning to start our hike from Brazil to the far end of Paraguay. Our team split in threes and “missioned” to the boarder of Paraguay. The teams were miraculously reunited at the border, all proclaiming God’s provision. And then came the split...

Team One – When we prayed the morning before the hike, we received a vision: a promise of a blue truck. So there we were, all scattered in Paraguay, trying to hitch hike. And then, the promise: A big blue truck, with the name of Jesus written in bold in the front window. No, our Daddy didn’t send a truck to come pick us up... that was just His promise to the world. He sent us a bus!!! A minute later a man of peace stopped next to us with a blue bakkie, picked us up and took us to the bus station, and blessed Team one and two with bus tickets to Asuncion, lunch and water. 

Team Two – Our vision: A bus that will pick us up and take us straight to Asuncion. We were a team of only girls, and God provided protection as we were never alone, and by the time we arrived in Asuncion, we had little money left and was two days early, which only meant one thing: we needed to find a place to stay... for free. We woke up in the “mucho caliente” (really warm) bus station and figured that we can rest in the Botanic gardens until we figure out where to go next. But as always, God prepared the way, and we could camp for free in the beautiful and safe Botanical gardens. The night before we left for Chile the third team joined us, with all their money still left and amazing stories of how God provided for them abundantly. 

Team Three – Our vision: sleeping in a hotel and not taking any extra food with us on the journey. Having an adventure of our own, we were immediately picked up by a truck heading in Asuncion’s direction. We were blessed with a place to stay and food for the night – in a Hotel. We had a good time fellowshipping with the drivers, and had a chance to share the gospel with them. They took us to a flour-farm the next day where we could sleep and explore and blessed us with even more food. We met the big boss of the drivers, and could share the gospel with Him as well. On the third day, after receiving various lifts to Asuncion, we were reunited with the other two teams and shared stories of our amazing experiences. 

It is exactly at times like this when we feel utterly unable, and can’t even utter a sentence in Portuguese or Spanish when God steps in and proves that He is mighty to save. Our first country of ministry is Chile, and God already showed us His provision. We as team are extremely excited to see what God is going to do next!
