What an adventure! All Glory to God. We trusted Him and we where blown completely away by his goodness with this Luke 10 Faith Journey for 10 days. The thought came to me to lay everything bare, to pour out my heart to the Lord in worship and prays until we had an answer.
I suddenly had a desire to delve into the Word, a couple of days passed waiting apon the Lord at Changi Airport in Singapore. I didn't know if God was speaking or not during this time, i looked for scripture to confirm where to go and so pursued what we thought it meant by going to a place but without checking with the team.
What does this mean though to "Pour out something before the Lord"? It is important to grasp the fullness of what God wants to accomplish with a blessing. This is more than just a request, maybe one used before offering is taken up or to give back to God by giving to others. We have nothing to give of ourselves because it is not ours to begin with, it is the Lords to give for His purpose of Glorifying Himself through us! During this time I read of King David when he was parched, he asked his soldiers to fetch a cup of water in the riviera passing through the Medianite Camp, so risking their lives they succeeded. Once David "Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and the door will opened " God encountered us like a fray train!
I was learning Him, learning adherence to his voice which means unity. God taught us to wait apon him, waiting as in not doing nothing but seeking him. Frustration arose at a stage because i just wanted to do something the whole time, as we spent allot of time together thinking of the others who left long ago.
So the first couple days we stayed at Changi airport with no confirmation for anything and someone came to us to hear if we knew about Jesus. His name was Derric and he was eratic and passionate to spread the Gospel. We prayed peace of heart abd peace of mind while worshiping with him that night and shared allittle. He agreed to meet us the next day. We shed light on a few things with him and the next day he was calm, he provided food for us.
A lady was led to the Lord while having lunch, she wanted money and was in mental unstable state, she could barely speak but her mind opened up when we mentioned Jesus. She asked for prayer, how to pray, who is Jesus and how do I find him. Really just amazing how the Lord worked in her mind and heart. A couple days later after getting accustomed to the toilets as showers and when we started making friends with the janitors, we felt it on our heart to depart and that we where ready. We left for the nearest town in Malaysia.
Everyday since then has been such an adventure in Malaysia staying with a Prespitarian Manderin church in a city close to Singapore! We had place to sleep, do outreaches into the community, ate more than we ever have, shared testimony with youth and ministered with the church as well as a city tour. Not only could we see the church but the Lord aloud us to visit old age homes and orphanages that inspired us to shed more blessing on others. God came through!
What was so amazing was that they where having a missionary weekend as just happened to be there as an opportunity to speak to the youth and the church. It was laid on my heart to communicate the promise of God to Elijah that the Fathers hearts would return to the Sons and the sons to the fathers. So happens many of the youth have hidden that they are christians from there parents and get their own parents saved when they get older to shed from old doctrine or religions.
To think i have something to give to this world. To experience challenges and tell stories of what we did. How foolish to think challenges are just to strengthen me when I say "i have died to myself!" Dead, as in D-E-A-D, means to live is loss and die is gain. We have risen with Christ and died to our own desires! To give isnt up to me, as it is the Lords work through us because He is Glorified making all things work for good.
How much blessing can a person receive? How much blessing would i give if i had nothing? Would i give it out of myself or as instructed from the Lord? If the Lord blesses us, do we pour it out before Him to Glorify or to satisfy? I encountered God when in need of an answer but do i just talk to Him when im in abundance? All these questions where bubbling as the spirit worked in his suggesting way he does, not ever forcefull but gently making me think. Blessing is responsibility as doors opened, it was as if someone opened the flood gates somewhere and suddenly our schedules where full of ministry points with people to hear from, places to go to, brothers to incourage and relationships to form despite their own hectic schedules. I experienced more blessing in ten days then this whole year!
Firstly, to give i find is in unconditional love, no prerequisites, no excuses, no doubt of a God that first loved me! What I experienced first hand on our Luke 10 here in Singapore into Malaysia is more than the Lords insane provision. Receiving blessing from the Lord is to know that whatever you receive is not to satisfy desire and needs, it needs to be poured out before Him.
