Lake of fire & Luke 10

Then the Devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of fire and sulphur, where the beast and the false prophet had already been thrown, and they will be tormented day and night for ever and ever! (Revelation 20:10)

Never in my life has the intense heat of hell been so real in my mind as yesterday.

Before sunrise yesterday morning, the Northbound group left the house in Panajachel, Guatemala and started out the three hour journey towards Pakaya Vulcano.

I don´t have words to describe how it felt when i finally (after walking for two hours) peeked over the solid gray vulcanic rock and saw thick red-orange lava streaming down.

I felt the heat of the lava burning my face. I heard it slooshing down the Vulcano. I choked on the toxic smell of the sulphur as the direction of the wind changed. Running away, I realised the terrible fate of all those how don´t know the Truth: they will be choked by the sulphur, but will be unable to run away; they will constantly be scorched by the heat, but will be unable to get away from it.

I contemplated on Jesus´ words in Luke 10: “ There is a large harvest, but few workers to gather is in. Pray to the owner of the harvest that he will send out workers to gather in his harvest.”

I urge you to pray for workers! And don´t run away if God says that He wants to send YOU! It´s easy to ask God to send someone else. It doesn´t take much more than the few breaths to pray the prayer. But ask God where He wants to send YOU.

He is sending us as Lime team on a Luke 10 journey. (READ LUKE 10!) We do not yet know where. Or how. Or what we will take. Read and study Luke 10 with us in this time that we are trusting God to reveal His purpose to us. A name, a place, a person, a house – we don´t know. But we trust God. He knows where He is sending us. With or without shoes. With or without our backpacks we don´t know yet. Please pray for us, that the guidance of the faithful Spirit will constantly surround us.

The Luke 10 journey starts in approximately 10 days and will continue for approximately 10 days. Pray with us in this 10 days and also the 10 thereafter!

May the Lord reveal to YOU what your own personal Luke 10 journey is and what the things are that you should leave behind!  (Lindie Pienaar)
