Breathtaking Brazil

My outlook on hosting people will never be the same.

During our stay in brasil we were reguraly confronted with the awkward situation of random people that didnt speak our language, and have nothing in common, but still will take us into their homes, feed us, spoil us and didnt want anything in return. In some situations we even received money. We soon just came to the conclusion that the only common grounds we had were Jesus, that in itself was enough.

So often we try to do so much and feel dissatisfied if we did not achieve all we wanted or had these deep impactful moments with the people, just to be reminded that we are only here to plant the seeds for Him to water.

While riding on the local train to the Jesus statue I felt the Lord told me to just close my eyes and listen. After a while a woman started calling out "Gabriel, Gabriel". My heart was immediately stirred by this and reminded about the angel Gabriel in the bible. Gabriel announced to mother Mary that a savior be born, someone that will bring revival. So when we prayed at the statue a bit later I really felt, like Gabriel, we were announcing to Rio a renewal and revival.
