I remeber getting off at the airport in Panama and almost tearing up when I saw a Toyota Hilux in thr parking bay. Even though Cuba was a phenominal experience, there was something comforting in seeing vehicles and technology we are use to, it felt like home. From sharing testimonies in prison and to a old general in the Panamanian riots, handing out tracks and sharing the good news in parks and in public and having the previledge of sharing our stories on a Panama radio station, Pastor Bill from Gamboa Union Church left a lasting impression. His way of sharing and being a Jesus ambassador to those around him wasnt what caught my attention, but how naturally he did it. There is no difference in him sharing the gospel with you or talking about his beloved dog, Carmalidy. "Cammy and I will be praying for you guys" was one of his final words to us. With new courage we left for Panama City, knowing there is a pastor and his dog praying for us.
Before leaving Gamboa we prayed that Gods presence will fall on the church and will not part from it. We left that prayer meeting not knowing how powerful some of our prayers really are. While in Panama City pastor Bill messaged us with this encouragement:
Four asain gentlemen crossed him and Cammy on there walk. Being the evangelist that he is, pastor Bill got in a conversation with them, one thing led to another, they ended up at his church. As pastor Bill explained it he didnt think they were believers, but that didnt stop him. While showing them around and inviting them to Sundays service, they approuched the frontal stage area in the church where he preaches from. The men expressed to him that they couldnt go closer to the front because there was something there, something different (what we will call a presence).
Our prayers arent hollow words, but powerful because of Him we pray to. We shouldnt just pray and thats it, we should start praying and expecting that there is already a shift in the spirtitual, and that our prayers carry a weight. God has given us authority and we are to exercise that in every aspect of our lives.
