8 weeks of training, where to start!
To summarize what we experienced during this time is difficult because every day was so full of new and exciting things!The one thing that stood out was that you can't help others if you don't know the solution to their problem. I've discovered that Jesus Christ is the solution to everything! Even eternal life!
Here follows a brief summary of what we encountered during this 8 weeks:
We had a local Jeffreys Bay challenge on our first day to learn the area and surrounding places. Through that, we got to learn all the people around us!
During our first week, we learnt the lifestyle of Bear Grylls during our survivor challenge! What we ate is a mystery but let's put it this way: it's not your typical daily food! Through that period we learnt alot about functioning as a team and learning to know each other since we were all out of our comfort zones! After that challenge that continued for 4 days, we facilitated a school camp which was awesome!
From there on, we got to the really cool and amazing stuff! We did a personality test to discover what types of people we have in our teams and through that we got to learn a bit more of ourselves.
The next step was to learn how to do effective Bible study and get a lot of revelation doing that. We partook in the process called Veritas. If you ever get the opportunity to do this program, don't hesitate. It revolutionize your way of studying the Bible -- taking it to the next level!
We had a lot of truth sessions in which we discussed who God is, who Jesus is, the relationship between Jesus and God, how God came and offered His only beloved Son to die for us and set us free from sin and death, our life now through faith and grace, the kingdom of God that overcomes all, our righteousness and victorious life in Christ, in depth truth of grace by Piet Frans and to end all of this amazing news, truths about who the Holy Spirit is, what part He makes out of our lives, the power that He has through God and encountering Him!
The greatest part of training for me was not sitting down to listen to the truth just to forget it later but to get revelation from God about the truth and to allow God to work in my life: to change me into the man He intended me to be! What God has done in my life thus far is extraodinary! He has freed me from a lifestyle of following all man made laws, equipped me with the truth about His purpose for the world and for my life! My encounters with the Holy Spirit is also indescribable! Feeling His presence while you are getting revelation directly from Him is priceless. That joy can't be expressed in words!
Even greater than this mentioned above is this: now that we know the truths, we get the opportunity to go out into the nations and see God work!!! We experienced His working power during our Luke 10 journey in which He provided us with transport, food, accommodation, (name it, He provided it)! We had no money, bags, tents, sleeping bags, communication or anything that you can think of except for a tooth brush! During our 5 days of trusting in Him to provide for us whilst we were ministering to as much people as possible, He provided in abundance! The people we got to talk to were moved and encouraged by our testimonies about God and their hopes were filled again.
During our last week of training, we met the coolest uncle from Scotland named uncle Joe a.k.a. Pappa Joe! He taught us more about prophesying and how to apply it in our lives! He also prophesied over each one of us. We then had the privilege to prophesy over the school pupils in that following 2 days!
God is part of present, past and future! It is your choice to accept His love today and start your relationship with Him! You can also live in His power and presence as we did every day of your live! All you have to do is accept Him and ask Him to reign and rule over your life!
