India project

The WORK YOUR WAY team is at the moment in the south of India at an orphanage shearing the love of Christ to the kids.

Some of the children have been living in the orphanage from 8 days old. It is a small and not a very popular orphanage and doesn't receive allot of support from the outside. There are many infrastructural needs at the orphanage and the WORK YOUR WAY team wants to take on some of the projects to help the kids to live in better circumstances.

The team needs some extra funds very urgently to help complete the projects before they leave on the 26th of June.

The three biggest needs are:

1- A new kitchen with a proper cooking area. R10 000 ( The orphanage staff is at the moment cooking three meals a day for around 25 people in a old classroom with almost no ventilation, the staff are suffocating the whole day of the smoke from the fire. The team are busy constructing a small outside kitchen with good ventilation with very limited funds of there own team money but will still need R10 000 to finish the project.)

2- Three extra toilets for the children. R4 000 (20 boys are using one toilet at the moment. The team started rebuilding and fixing three old broken outside toilets.)

3- The orphanage had some girls also but the police took them away because the orphanage was not correct according to the government standard. The government gave them only a permit for boys although there is a huge need for a girls orphanage in the area. The reason is that the government wants a wall that will separate the boys sleeping quarters from the girls sleeping quarters. Except for the separating wall the orphanage is fully equipped to take girls in to the orphanage.
The wall was to big of a project for the team to take on and still finish it in time, but if any one feels they want to sponsor the orphanage with the funds to finish the wall, the WORK YOUR WAY team will make sure to get a contract with a professional builder to Finnish the project. The total project cost will be R15 000
