I was surprised to see how beautiful China was when we started to travel more to the country side. The huge mountains stretched out for kilometers on end. My eyes were opened to a new idea of what china was all about. And soon enough God started to show me what He saw for this beautiful place.
During my stay in China I was reminded of the story of Joshua and the Israelites. Linking these thoughts to a scripture I would like to read from Joshua 6:1-3
"Now Jericho was securely shut up because of the children of Israel; none went out, and none came in. And the Lord said to Joshua; See! I have given Jericho into your hand, its kings and mighty
men of valor. You shall march around the city, all your men of war; you shall go all around the city once."
This scripture became reality to us while we were in one of the towns. We wanted to stay in this town for 5 days but after 2 days the police came to us and asked us to leave. Apperently it was not safe for foreigners. We knew better and trusted that God had a plan. this links back to the scripture where Jericho (china) was shut up. But the amazing thing about this scripture is that God still gives a promise of victory. "See! I have given Jericho into your hand" No matter what the situation may look like through our eyes God has a plan and China will be taken by our LORD AND SAVIOUR!!!
We spend a lot of time during our stay to
pray and during this time we learned a little more about the rituals the people followed. One of these rituals consists of walking clock wise around the temple 7 times. Can you think of another story that this reminds you of. It was intressting for me to see that God's practices are always mimiced by the devil. The Israelites walked around the city of Jericho 7 times. To me the promise was clear in the scripture that God has a huge plan with China and we just need to pray and do the "walking" around the city (temples). We can claim the ground for God by praying for God to come and change China. And remember the promise that GOD has given us the city!!!!!
May this be in your prayers for china and pray that God will come and restore the broken hearted in China and that He will bring His truth.
