In the absence of formal education we find a church with ll the bells and whistles that is associaed with my minds concept of church!
It has a building and two passionate pastors. There are several sermons a week of great joy and thanksgiving, that meet the needs of all the people. There is several bible study groups and discipleship training even dane classes for young nd old, dont foget about the kids church as well as community involvement, that is what i call church.
So why is this special?
Why is it worth the effort to write a blog on smething with the heading of benchwarmers?
First and foremost this church is different because of the complete obedience to Gods command to build relationship teach the people and baptize them. The Holy Spirit is woking powerfully and is tangibile. The only formal thing here is the starting time of althe activities and even then it is subject to the leading of the Holy Spirit and the rain, but seriously once church start the Holy Spirit leads and time seems to dissapear. Once the congrecation goes home prayer and ministry continues for those in ned. The Lord use the instruments paced in this community the pastors an anyone else who is willing to be used, to be obedient, to serve in the Kingdom ofGod. It is enjoyable to see the fruits of the Spirit manifest in such practical ways.
This church is special, they choose to take Gods word as ultimate truth and the church function on te bottomline of Jesus Christ, the vision of obedience and the mission of saving the lost!
Why the title benchwarmers?
Well in essenceit would mean someone that attends church on a sunday occupy a seat and g home hppy that their duty for the week was done.
Here is NOTHING like that, theirpassion to attend and be involved, to learn and grow in Christ Jesus is overwhelming. They walk, talk, praise, worship and wok to the gloy of God, because when you have a formr drug addict and gang leaderas pastrs, hanging around just ain't an option, the believers here are all active players on God's field of dreams
Praise to the King
