Silver team in Turkey

Silver team in Turkey
Welcome in Turkey was the sign as we entered baggage claim at the Istanbul airport after our short flight from Egypt! There is always excitement when entering a new country and this time is no different. After a trip of 9 hours on the bus from Istanbul the bus stopped in Kusadasi, 25km from Ephesus on the coast. While we waited for the guys to find accomodation, Obi entertained us by competing with a couple of kids street dancing. Aunt Fielie, Nita, Dinnie and Marelize joined us for our time in Turkey and there is great expectation of what is...

Lets get Real

Lets get Real
Egypt has cats, Israel has conflıct and Turkey has dogs...Yes, it is a tour around the world and through biblical significant towns, which now has become nothing more than a tourist market!   Why are we here? Seven days into Global Challenge 2009 God answered this question without me even asking it. Mat. 28:18-20. "Jesus came and told His disciples, I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptiziıng them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey...

The Pilgrimage - True North   If you will permit me I would love to take the time and reflect on our North Bound journey and what we have been doing.   The beginning of understanding in this instance would be knowledge of the vision. Us as students only receive the framework of the journey and that makes it unexpected, new and exciting, which is great! Among other things the North Bound journey is about faith, stepping into the unknown. By living the framework us students endurance is tested and brother James refers to this when he states endurance builds...

Guatamala an overview

We arrived late in Guatamala close to 22h and like all good global challengers we slept at the airport to the amusement of the early morning travellers. The bus we took from Guatamala city to Panajachel was intresting in diversity of rainbow colours and lets just say the drive down was speedy and not what i am used to in a public bus down a rather steep hill. But then again nothing of the time in Panajachel was what i am used to.......... When we arrived in Pana i looked forward to lay eyes on the famous Ben of Panajachel...
