Egypt has cats, Israel has conflıct and Turkey has dogs...Yes, it is a tour around the world and through biblical significant towns, which now has become nothing more than a tourist market!
Why are we here?
Seven days into Global Challenge 2009 God answered this question without me even asking it. Mat. 28:18-20. "Jesus came and told His disciples, I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptiziıng them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
I only realized what this meant during our time in Turkey. Why?
Because Turkey is tough. Spiritually tough and therefore emotionally and physically tough as well. These things do not function seperate from one another!
Turkey is another country under Islamic rule and the spirit of lust, and mammon is prevelent! Does that mean God is not present? NO! NO! It means repent of sin and humble yourself before the Most Hıgh God, and pray that the Holy Spirit will renew your mind and attitude.
For He is at work here in Kusadasi Turkey, and the question is: Am I on the bus or not? By playing rugby on the beach we have met a young man, a giant of a man, and a student of tourism. God organized this meating and by being on His bus we are seeing a miracle of God happening as this man is being touched and changed by the Holy Spirit! It could have easily been just another rugby game but for God's grace... who is that person in your life? Are you on God's bus where He is working on your sphere of influence! Have you realized the truth of Phil. 2: 1-11.
"Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from His love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate? Then make Me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose. Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too. You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.
Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross. Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and
on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father".
God loves you so very much
