Our bodies have been described as temples of the Holy Spirit and as clay in the hands of the Potter. It is an awe-inspiring, intricate tool for the Kingdom, made according to a blueprint designed by an Almighty God.
This body is made up of approximately 600 muscles, each with a different purpose. It takes 43 muscles to frown when life's storms hit your shores. It takes 17 muscles to smile when you meet another Christian brother or sister. It takes 8 muscles to extend your arms and praise the Creator of the Universe. And it takes absolutely no muscles at allto love one another.
Distant Worlds experienced an interesting alteration to our itinerary in this last week. According to the plan, we are meant to be overlanding through Venezuela in order to reach Guyana before 22 May. However, DW is still basking in God's glory in colourful Colombia.
Many ask, "How can this be?" Well, let's go back to the beginning.
Venezuela recently underwent elections and received their new president. However, several sources prompted us to change our travel plans - Venezuela would not be safe for tourists. God also confirmed this word in miraculous ways.
And so DW prayed and prayed and God flung the doors wide open. He placed a ministry point, accommodation and a surplus amount of food in our laps and said, "Go". We got onto a bus and, 21 hours later, we arrived in Santa Marta in northern Colombia.
The people here are blessing us beyond belief. We are involved in the school called La Esperanza, and have been serving at a church by the same name. We've seen God moving in the most amazing ways as we follow His Word and rely on Him. The Holy Spirit has been our constant companion and has revealed multiple truths to us.
DW is still waiting upon The Lord for a passage to Guyana, but we know that He will provide in His perfect time. But for now we are using our 17 facial muscles to welcome our brothers and sisters into the Family of God. We are using our 4 arm muscles to praise God for His faithfulness. And every day we are walking in His love and reveling in His blessings.
