Today I'm reminded of the wonderful lyrics by Jeremy Riddle:
What a priceless gift, undeserved life
Have I been given through Christ crucified
You've called me out of death
You've called me into life
And I was under Your wrath
Now, through the cross, Im reconciled
At the cross, You beckon me
You draw me gently to my knees
And I am lost for words, so lost in love
Im sweetly broken, wholly surrendered
Throughout this week we've had the privilege of being taught by Norman Wakefield. He broke scripture down in a new way, with emphasis on being anchored in Christ, Loving the father and Son, Knowing that God's greatest promise is that he is with us, living from an eternal perspective and the most profound teaching, living with humility.
It's wonderful learning these things in the classroom, however my prayer is that the truths of these messages will be anchored in my heart. If anything, we were taught not to leave SA if we are not WHOLLY SURRENDERED to Christ. We had 2 ladies speak to us about Jordan and Macedonia, including the work that we'll be doing among the refugees. I understand that if we go there in our own strength, wanting our own wills to prevail, we will not be in line with the flow of God's word. Therefore, it's safe to assume that we are leaving on our journeys to serve. Not only the people that we come in contact with, but also our own team memebers. I think this is important, seeing as what happens in the team, will flow out into the spaces that we visit. For example, if we love and encourage and serve one another within the team, we will serve the nations better.
I am very excited about what is to come! Hold onto your horses!
