Do we really grasp the importance of one single prayer? How many times have we been saved by someone’s prayer without you knowing or how many times have we saved someone by one single prayer by being obedient to God , maybe a prayer out of pure desperation and if you ask something God will most probably give it to you, in his perfect time. I listened to the lead Guitarist of the rock band Korn’s testimony “I am second”, who lived for fame, fortune, sex and drugs, he was fully addicted to the drug “Meth” and out of pure desperation prayed to God and he was cured from his addictions and accepted Jesus Christ as his saviour and is now a passionate believer. A lady from one of the villages that we visited told us her testimony where she weighed 26 kg, throwing up her intestines and hardly had any hair on her head literally drank herself to death at the end and her current husband who was an unbeliever himself prayed one single prayer out of desperation and Jesus Christ rose her from the dead…she is alive today and living for Christ Jesus. The importance of one quick prayer could save a person’s life and enhance God’s kingdom. Proverbs 18:21 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits." Words are being used when we pray, life is in prayers and silent prayers do get answered as well. What we are to believe is, that we receive the very things we ask. Whatever you need…praying is the best way to get it. Let us pray for each other, for this is the best way to love one another. To believe is to give God the right to answer our prayers in the way He sees best!!
RUSSIA: We left Russia with beautiful, fun and challenging memories. We met great families, people and made great friends who is loving, generous, genuine, beautiful people who made us feel at home.
During our time in Russia we helped at a English Summer Camp, we lead teams, played games with the kids, did “funglish” performed dramas and shared our testimony’s, but because it was a non-Christen camp, we weren’t allowed to preach the gospel at all so at sharing time we were giving the opportunity to tell our life story (testimony) which was a challenge because our testimony’s is God’s story how he pursued and rescued us with patience, love, grace and mercy until we accepted Him as our Lord Jesus Christ. So we had to be very careful what to say and what not to say but the Holy Spirit was fully in control off our words and God’s glory and power was proclaimed. We witnessed God touching the children’s hearts through our testimonies and make them curious about the gospel. Revelations 12:11 “And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even until death.” We also witnessed God touching the people at the villages, it was such a blessing to bring and receive Joy and fellowship with the people.
Back in Beijing in China we couldn’t get our visas for Croatia so we had to apply in Russia, but we were led by a purpose to Russia, in Russia we also met up with a South African, currently Russian Christen friend who really was in need for our help, we had to clean a house that was still in the building process and what I thought was kind of impossible to clean in such a short amount of time because they were starting a two month camp in that house in 3 days. By the strength and endurance from God we cleaned the whole house and God used us to bless this man and he in return blessed us with free accommodation, Gods timing was perfect. And by God’s favour we received our visas without any trouble in two days’ time.
We learned 2 valuable lessons in our time in Russia. 1. Assumptions about other people hurt them sometimes but that God desires to pursue that guy that is sitting with a beer bottle and a cigarette. 2. Do not let the fear of man lead you to disobey God.
And we accepted the challenge: To not just make this year BUT to end this journey STRONG and in VICTORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
