Israel We decided to spend a few days in Israel to rest and fill our tanks. We spent 5 days in Jerusalem, Israel. There's a SA missionary who opened her house to us. Her house is a permanent house of prayer and people come and go to pray for the peace of Jerusalem there. She took us to many places in Jerusalem to see where Jesus walked, was crucified, his tomb, where the outpouring of the holy spirit happened in the upper room, mount zion, the mount of olives etc. This was phenomenal, as you can imagine. We also learned...

I had a hard time writing this post. Not for the lack of things happening. Not for the lack of God working. Not for the lack of anything! In it's own way Israel was amazing. Visiting God's Holy Land. Getting to interact with God's bride. Getting to know how 2 different people groups get along together in one country basically split up in two. Israel was amazing. Going to Bethlehem and experiencing the birthplace of Jesus, moving along to Jerusalem and seeing where Jesus was crucified, buried and risen. That was something amazing. Experiencing God's work in me. Israel...
I think it's important to remember that God didn't create religion. People did. It's funny, we run around placing little labels on all sorts of spiritual things and calling it OUR RELIGION. Isn't that just what we do with people as well? See we meet people. We kinda talk to them for a while, "get to know them" without getting to know them and then we slap a sticker all over what we "know" about them and we file them in a box with a lot of other stuff with the same stupid label. Our own little factory if...
Israel .. It was so awesome to be in this place, really it was! It was crazy expensive but it is such a beautiful country. We saw so much and learnt quite a bit about the Jewish culture and about where Jesus was and all that stuff. We did gardening and went on small tours. I want to take this opportunity to apologize to my mother for me always being so lazy and not helping in the garden or around the house because I actually really enjoyed it! Sorry mom! I'm so grateful that I could grow closer to my...
Boom! Woke up at 00:00 am 13 April Wednesday, first 9 hour sleep I have had in a long time! So now I have time until I go get my emergency sertificate ... oh, the lady at the embassy WatsApped me to say it is ready. Quess like I am coming home! So after a while I read Living Water, and this constant seeking of hope just after Jesus gave me full hope and preace must stop! I have become soft and complain to fast when I feel like the precence of God is not with me, but little do...
When gardening, one always starts with the end in mind. There is always a sort of rigorous planning and planting, but soon it is all about maintenance and persevering in the commitment to keep the garden contained. This is also true of our spiritual gardens. At first our spirit dwells in a desert, with no living water and no plants. But as soon as Christ comes and changes our truth and understanding of the good news, He starts planting the first tree…The tree of freedom and salvation. As we start walking an intentional road with Him, God starts bringing new...
At first we were taught that the Old Testament is a good read but slightly out-dated and should not be applied to our daily modern lifestyles. Then wars broke out, people began reading their Bibles again and opinions started changing again. This time however, people emphasized certain parts of the Bible to justify picking sides in a battle that everyone seemed to want to be a part of. It was at this point what I first heard that we as believers should align with Israel and pray for the Jews. It was at this point that I learned to...
On the other side of the wall… As South Africans we are familiar with the concept of having a country within another country, but this did not prepare me for what I experienced crossing the ‘border’ into Palestine. Bethlehem is about 7,1km outside Jerusalem with a large 8m high wall dividing the one city from the other. Imagine a scene out of the Hunger Games with the towering wall, barbed wire everywhere and people with guns patrolling the area. And so we drove through this scene only to be met with gas bombs, tires burning and people with gas masks...
I could not shake the feeling of how awesome Israel was, the whole place is almost build out of limestone that is "alive" and truly I say on to you it makes the place look alive! We worked a bit in a garden where God showed me to bring salvation to men is like plucking out roots of weets and cleaning leaves. After every leave wave which is sin you descover môre roots of weets that is the very start of sin and then you pluck them out with the roots. I thoroughly cleaned a area of 10×4m and it...
Bethlehem, a land deprived of peace yet you could feel the very precence of it lingering in the streets of painted walls. There is a old refugee camp where the poor and less privileged live and graffiti all over walls, but I saw môre privliges there then in my own home. People nearly excepting you in their families and no matter what people say about Palestinian people, their intentions to me is one of peace.
