Good day! Jerusalem was beautiful and it was special to see where Jesus was, but I honestly enjoyed Bethlehem, on the other side of the wall, more. At both stops, we did a lot of gardening. Goodness, I never thought there could be so many metaphors with pulling out roots of weeds. I started dreaming about it even. Luckily I love gardening and find it to be therapeutic. In Bethlehem we lived with three stunning nuns, who changed my pre-conceived idea about nuns. At all of the ministry points we have gone so far there have been extremely effective women....

“This is my command – be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 This was said to Joshua just before he crossed the Jordan River to enter the Promised Land, and it was as applicable for us as it was for him. With a truly intense border security (not joking) I found myself praying similar prayers to the first two Israelites who entered the country: Lord, please make me invisible and give me favour with the people. And He, being the same yesterday, today and...
Going to the Promised Land for the first time of my life was a dream come true. Seeing the places where so many things happened in the Bible, reading the stories and seeing the "exact" place where it happened was amazing. Using your imagination to see where Jesus died, going to all the places where some of it happened, and meeting amazing people at these places that tell us so much of what they know about the old city. The Dead Sea and the Sea of Galilee were memorable, but the most amazing thing was when we were in the...
We couldn't understand what the big deal was about, saying Global is a challenge. We were so spoilt there, that we soon realized it is simply impossible that we are that nice. God really blessed us so much! We believe God made us look shiny and nice, because really, we hardly ever bought our own food. They taught us how to serve without an agenda. Their dedication towards God's work is amazing, for them it truly is God first and family second. It was inspirational! And the love of Christ just flows through them. They have servant hearts, loving...
En route Morocco Currently I'm writing from this very trendy hostel in Morocco. Imagine Moroccan architecture, soft music and chilled vibes along with good coffee. This all is very welcoming after spending two nights on two different airports across three different continents. Yep, that's what went down - four cities, three flights, two nights in airports (a sleeping bag, inflatable mattress and pillow make a formidable combination in any situation!). The journey is obviously not about just the country - there's a lot more to it. And when choosing the cheapest way of traveling a thing I would like to...
"So we beat on, boats against the current…" – F. Scott Fitzgerald. Macedonia – the nation with the most monuments I have seen in such a short distance of each other, cheap chocolate spread and a beautiful lake named Ohrid. This lake is one of the oldest and deepest lakes in Europe. We had the privilege of visiting this lake on Monday. Starting my journey in Macedonia was like getting into a little boat on Lake Ohrid with my own pair of wooden carved paddles. Ready for this adventure with Jesus. I was waiting for a storm to come, or for...
Knowing God means being exposed to supernatural knowledge and deeds. I cannot believe I was so blind to think any of this could be boring? But then again i could not see without Him opening my eyes. So if you are reading this and you do not understand or you think God is boring, just do yourself a favor and ask for ears to hear and eyes to see. It is not a worldly experience. Of course it is not because God is not an earthly being. He is not what we have made Him to be. His ways are...
My sweethearts, It's that satisfying moment when you go a little bit further than you know humanly possible for you. When you become the woman you have always dreamt of being. When your self rejecting thought patterns change in a matter of days.. Patterns that have cursed you for years. It is healing beyond our imagination. He opened my eyes to how much more I am. That He awakens more in me. And don't get me started in the romance. I day dream a lot about my future husband coming to me and saying that God has shown him dreams...
Good day! Since we have arrived we have been given so much it actually frustrated me. I caught myself praying for a road to build. God really sent us to such a serving community to show us what it means. It is sacrificial. We had to find secret ways to avoid getting served more tea by none other than those who were stripped from all they had. Their family sits in the other room waiting to eat the food we are cannot manage to finish. The Middle Eastern culture is now of my favorite. It seems like a life time...
I don't know what my heading means it just looks really cool. This First Month being on the Journey was complete Transformation of who I am. Romans 12: 2 says it so well - "...but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think." Firstly I prayed to God to get Him to see things my way and to join the plan I have envisioned.... BOOM, doesn't work that way. His ways are higher!!! And to look back now my human plans are not even Glorifying Him. I'm in Awe. He took away all...
