In the beginning...

The clouds of identity

God will always meet you at that crossroad... where you are, breaking down feeling unworthy or maybe not, maybe you are even standing there in awe. In wonder of who He is, what you have done and His grace that is just sweeping over in. It does not even matter where you are at, He will meet you there. I have learned that I have always put my identity in what I have done like the lost son feeling unworthy but God, man...God is just so amazing and He is my identity speaker, speaking into my life, speaking truth, speaking...

A vessel of power

We spent the past two weeks in Kathmandu, Nepal, mostly serving and encouraging our fellow believers.Tomorrow we are off to New Delhi, India. In Nepal God showed us a part of His power as many people recieved miraculous healing and many unbelievers came to Christ and could experience His power first hand. From driving out demons and laying on hands, to saving people from their suicide attempts, God really used me like never before, making me a vessel of His power. The past two weeks I had many opportunities to preach, in both churches and rural non believing villages. The...

THROUGH AND THROUGH

Ladies and Gents, welcome to blog number 7. Today I felt it heavy on my heart to talk about something that, I think, people are unsure off. I also think that there are some people who are struggling in life because of it, but in any case that is what I think. I want you to open your hearts and let Jesus talk to you today. So yeah let me ask you a question first: What does it take to have a relationship with Jesus? Not sure what it takes or what you have to do to go into a...

Being open

She sinned much therefore she loved much. How do you wrap your mind around this? When we have struggels we can have more empathy with those that are also struggeling. When we are aware of our own weakness and vulnerability,we can love more unconditionally without trying to fix the other person. Jesus is busy transforming my thinking about everything, mostly to being open towards brokeness and vulnerability. I tend to run away from my flaws and insecurities, but Jesus wants me to run to it, to embrace it and bring it to Him. He wants me to embrace myself and...

I belong.

The past few weeks have been crazy busy, but at the same time a great period of growth and being stretched. I learnt so much and God was just so present, showing me that He is with me no matter what, but it was tough. Here is a little something that sums up what was happening inside. Frustrated and angry with no one but myself and still blaming You. I struggle with my powerfully, doubtful mind that at times rudely shoves faith and belief out the door like an unwelcomed guest. I found myself screaming at You, until my voice...

Stay in Him

Stay in Him
My first post and we've been on this journey for over 3 weeks. We've been super busy with #imagine and the opening of the Jeffreys Bay high school Global Leadership Academy. We've been learning a lot about serving and with what heart you are serving. Our vision is Live, Serve & Grow. We have been challenged to live together as a team doing everything together. You can imagine that with 6 girls living in a small space. I can't lie. It's been great. We have a lot of fun but it has it's challenges. I feel like this is a...

Building walls or windmills

When the winds of change blow, some build walls and others build windmills -Chinese proverb- Before we became a family we were all individuals living our separate lives. So in our forming a family our lives intertwined...but we all still came from different backgrounds. We have different ways of doing things, different ways of handling situations and different ideas. So when the winds of change blew we as a team were challenged. We all handled these winds differently. For some the winds of change brought about immediate adaption and they started building a windmill, for others the change was more...

As family we go

Jesus was the only self-sufficient man to ever live, yet He chose to live, travel and minister with community.   This means there is something special about family. Since Adam and Eve left the garden, the whole story of scripture has been about a family on the move. And so, this is a story about the forming of a new family, undergoing training and being equipped for a very special journey.   The one thing that stands true for this family is that we did not chose each other…but God certainly chose us to be together. Two months ago we...

Identity in Christ

28 Maart 2017 Last week we had an amazing teaching on our identity in Christ given by Mamma Cita and uncle Mike. It resonated with our hearts. All of us in the adventure bound team is still young and it's encouraging to discover who we are in Christ. We learned that it is very important to find our identity in Christ and not in other things like our social status, our appearance or our success. When my identity is strong in Christ it won't matter to me what other people say about me! I love the comparison mamma Cita gave us....
