We truly serve an awesome God :)

Training has been simply amazing so far - getting to know the Distant Worlds team has been interesting, while developing my relationship with Christ has been nothing but fulfilling.

My trust in God has increased exponentially over training, with Him providing me with promises daily and comforting me during tough times. I admit, being away from my family has been hard - today is especially difficult, since it is my loving mother's birthday and it is the first time I'm not home with a birthday. My team has been so supportive though, encouraging me through the day and praying with me. However, I know that this is where I am meant to be and that through Christ, I can get through anything!

Through prayer from Maxine on Tuesday, I received my heavenly language again. I get goosebumps whenever I remember that moment - when we pray or worship, I feel as if I am seated right at the feet of the Father. I feel the glow of His presence as He fills me with His joy, which bubbles over and pours out of me like a fizzing Coke bottle. I feel as if this year, The Lord wants to restore me completely. I am especially encouraged by Ezekiel 36:26-27, which has become my point of reference when I feel overwhelmed. God is good!!

I'm looking forward to the things Jesus wants to teach me this year - I can't wait to grow more in the Spirit while getting to know the voice of God :)

I was born into a loving Christian home in the tiny Free State town of Welkom. After six years, we moved to Pretoria, where I attended Hatfield Christian School. Despite all this, I found myself in bars and clubs every Friday and Saturday night last year. However, my Father rescued me and brought me out of darkness into light this year. He is drawing me into deeper intimacy with Him and, in doing so, He is changing my desire for bad things into a burning desire for His things. He brought me to a place where I can testify of His unmerited favour and boundless grace, since He saved a sinner like me and loved me despite my flaws.
